While Evan was in the shower, Allie was on the sofa, working on her laptop. As the night deepened, rain started to fall along with a light thunderstorm. Allie could see the cityscape through the glass walls. Even though she wasn't at her house, it still felt like a cozy place to work.
Only now, she wasn't alone in her bedroom.
The thought of her solitude being taken away by her husband made Allie frown.
"By the way, I am attending an art auction Saturday night, so I expect you to clear your schedule for that night," Evan said after his bath. Now in bed, he was drying his hair with a towel.
Allie remembered the event at Professor Kelly's university. It was also held on Saturday, but she wasn't sure yet what time the event was.
'But it's a school event. For sure it is done during the morning or afternoon, right?' Allie pondered.
"You seem to be thinking twice. Got an appointment that day?" Evan's eyes narrowed, noticing her hesitation.
