Chapter 3 - The Culprit

The angel couldn't believe what Ezra was trying to attempt, so he tried by all means to push away his hands but Ezra just wouldn't budge.

"What's the meaning of this?!" anger flowed through the angel.

"I don't know you tell me, what did you do?" Ezra just asked.

The angel looked at Moses and Jacob for help, who were still in awe by this whole situation. They just didn't know what to do or say, everything was happening so fast even for the likes of them.

The other angels didn't finge even for a minor second their main focus were the pile of bodies, they kept their heads bowed down and just prayed.

"Moses and Jacob, what the hell is this boy talking about?" The angel asked.

"Leave them out of this, you just answer my question. What did you do?" Ezra insisted.

A pile of innocent bodies just laid there no one really knew what went wrong according to Jacob this wasn't how it's supposed to go, these people were the ones chosen by God himself. What was supposed to happen according to his dream, these people were supposed to go through some trials to determine who were the ones right for the job and probably save humanity from the pending doom.

"Jacob if you don't mind telling me, what did you foresee in your dream? Did you see all of this going on?" Ezra turned his attention to Jacob.

"No even if I did it wasn't supposed to happen this is the holy place, violence is forbidden and commiting this gruesome act gets you punished" Jacob answered.

"Moses can you please check your other half of the golden stone and Jacob's too?" Ezra asked nicely.

"Okay" Moses checked both golden stone and he saw nothing "There's nothing written here it's like all the names that were here got erased" Moses in disbelief.

"What?!" Jacob took the stones from Moses and he looked at them, both front and backside, but nothing was there "H-how is this even possible?" Jacob looked at Moses for an explanation.

"Rameses I'll ask again, what did you do?" Ezra called the angel by it's name.

"I tempered with the tablets I was given a direct order to temper with the names and if I do that I will be given back my kingdom and my fallen once great home will rise to it's glory again with me as the pharaoh of Egypt" Rameses confessed the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

"Rameses as in, Rameses the second the pharaoh who enslaved the Hebrews, my people?" Moses stunned by this turn of events.

"Rameses but you are no angel and yes you may have been punished and forgiven by your sins in Egypt. So how did you pass as an angel?" Ezra asked.

"I was given this pendant that gave me the ability to trick everyone into thinking I was someone else, an angel" he confessed.

The pendant that Rameses was talking about, he showed it to them it's loose-hanging piece was gold and the loop attached to it was black but from afar it looked like it was purple-ish.

"The pendant of illusions?" Jacob shocked as he saw it.

"What is the pendant of illusions?" Moses asked.

"We will get to that, but first" Ezra took the pendant of from Rameses and he looked at it closely the black mist following through it showed a sneak peak of someone who was not seen clearly. Then it exploded.

"Who was the person giving you the orders?" Ezra looked at Rameses.

"No one gave me orders I was acting on my own Accord" Rameses lied.

"Rameses we all know what happened to you in Egypt during your time, that alone indicates that you aren't really that smart to pull off such a labrant scheme. So who was he?" Rameses was embarrassed by this.

He pushed Ezra and he stumbled back Jacob and Moses caught him, then Rameses took one angel as hostage a young woman and he wrapped the pendant chain around her neck.

"I will not be interrogated and shamed by a mere persant little boy, I am the pharaoh of great Egypt and all of you are just simpleton persants, you should know your places!" Rameses tightening the chain grip.

Ezra got back to his feet and slowly walked towards Rameses who was also slowly backing away.

"Okay calm down Rameses, tell us what do you truly desire?" Ezra trying to calm the whole situation before it got out of hands.

"I want my kingdom back, I want my son that was taken from me by your God and I want my old life back" he requested.

"Okay that doesn't seem impossible" Ezra negotiating.

"I'm not done!" Rameses shouted.

"Okay, then please continue" Ezra asked.

"And I want all of my people and my servants" Rameses said.

"You want my people the Hebrews?" Moses stepped forward.

"They were my people first and will always will be as for Egypt too I'm it's rightful king!" He specified.

"You are crazy he's crazy!" Jacob said.

"Okay, okay we'll see what the big man says to all these requests" Erza trying to stop the two parties that also seemed like they were about to go to war.

"Heh heh heh heh! He doesn't know, does he?" Rameses saw a loophole.

"Doesn't know what?" Ezra thrown off by what Rameses asked.

"Don't mind him! He's just delusional as always!" Moses started to get angry.

"Oh am I now? Mmm?" Rameses grinned.

Everything was playing according to his plan for a guy who suffered a lot in his time, it seemed like this was his master plan. Rameses knew that his demands were outrageous and impossible to meet, without anyone realizing he was already close to the exit.

While the rest were still thrown and both Moses and Jacob gave each other this intense stare, like both of them needed to stay quiet and not say anything. They were hiding something.

"Well this was kinda fun, but you'll have to excuse thee. I have somewhere to be" Rameses tightening the chain so hard that the angel couldn't breathe and pushed her to Ezra as a distraction. When a beam of purple light took him away and he disappeared.
