Milo stood atop the wall of snow, staring down at the eyes of the ice wolf chieftain. The chieftain quickly ushered the smaller pup behind him and shielded him with his arms. Milo, who was trying to prove that he wasn't a threat, allowed him to take cover.
The one thing Milo couldn't get out of his mind though, was the distinct feature this older ice wolf had about him. The cropped ear on one side of his head. The cropped ear was a symbol in the ice wolf clan, mainly of family status. The status to show that they were of direct lineage to the founding ice wolf.
Milo was able to quickly deduce that this was the ice wolf chieftain. But now he wondered just what the hell he was doing all the way over here, miles away from Amoura.
