"Huh …", Milo mused, dragging himself to sit upright, "… What happened?".
He looked around, rubbing his eyes. He was lay in the corner of a white room with no windows, the walls were each painted white and in the far corner of the room, his pair of daggers nestled on a round table.
He looked down, flipping the bed covers off himself his eyes widened in horror at what he saw.
'Another injury …'.
Both of his legs were bruised beyond belief, the deep blue and purple marks sending a numbing pain throughout his entire bottom half every time he so much as shuffled an inch.
He was already familiar with the feeling of being heavily injured, but for some reason he held a real concern for himself this time. Maybe it was because he was human now, but his wounds weren't healing as quickly as he would have liked.
