Weisheng couldn't help but smile back. Just now, he and the Arbiter had argued over how he treated Xiaoling. It seemed Xiaoling was the best judge for that. Claiming he treated her nicely was a stretch, but he believed he tried his best. Lost in his thoughts, Weisheng noticed Xiaoling getting closer to him, slowly eliminating the distance between them. Alarmed, he quickly retreated his hands to cover her lips with them before they could come any closer.
"What are you doing, little miss?" Weisheng asked snarkily, a playful tone in his voice questioning her actions. His hands slowly dropped down from her lips after he established the boundary.
Xiaoling rolled her eyes, "I was about to," She gestured at his shoulder.
Confused, Weisheng looked to his right, spotting a harmless leaf on his shoulder. It probably fell from above the canopy, flying with the wind. But this excuse was unbelievable. He turned to Xiaoling and smiled in disbelief.
