Athena nodded, agreeing with Grey's words, even though she was honestly still worried about Karin. Karin was quickly picked up by one of the guards and they quickly ran to the living room.
They didn't realize that on the wall in front of them, there was already one person hiding with a knife in his hand. The man was watching Athena closely. It just so happened that Athena was about to pass by the left side-right where the man was standing.
The man smirked. "Fate helped me. Even if I die, you must die too, Athena. Just like Mr. Seth said," the man said and the man moved forward once Athena was close to him.
Ocean who saw him spontaneously shouted, "Watch out, Miss Athena!" he shouted making everyone also spontaneously look to the side.
"You're dead, Athena!"
"Sssh!"
There was a whimpering sound. Not from Athena, but from Grey. Athena herself was shocked mixed with panic because the man turned out to be stabbing Grey. Grey protected her. Grey hugged her. Grey immediately turned his head, then kicked the man, soon the man was shot by Grey.
Grey was breathing heavily from emotion mixed with horror at the wound. "Asshole," Grey cursed.
"Grey!" Athena panicked as soon as she saw Grey's wound. Ocean and the others also panicked. "Y-you're okay? Oh, God." Athena covered her own mouth, her eyes already glazed over. "Why are you protecting me? You're such a fool."
"You're the fool," Grey replied with a gasp. "I made a promise to Noah. Remember?"
Athena was now crying. She was really worried. "But, not like this. I—"
"Already. Don't be a crybaby. It's a small wound. I've had bigger cuts than this many times," Grey interrupted. Grey then turned to Ocean. "Pull out that knife, Ocean."
Ocean was shocked, and so was Athena. "Are you crazy?!" shouted Athena.
"I can't show my weakness to the enemy. I have to look okay. They could get even more violent if they're still here."
"Sir. But, he said, we killed them all. Then—"
"You said that too. But, finally? Isn't there still some?" Grey interrupted to silence Ocean.
Athena shook her head, still disagreeing. "But, your bleeding will get worse later."
"I told you, I've been hurt many times. This is a small wound." Grey looked at Ocean sternly. "Hurry up, Ocean."
Ocean hesitated of course, but Ocean had no other choice. Finally, Ocean helped pull out the knife.
"Akh!"
"Grey!"
Athena cried even more, Athena desperately held herself back from screaming at the sight of the blood that spurted out immediately after Ocean pulled her.
"Grey," called Athena worriedly as she held Grey's body that was weakening.
"I'm okay," Grey said soothingly. Grey then straightened up, trying to look okay. "Let's go to the living room."
Everyone obeyed Grey's orders and immediately walked to the living room, when they arrived at the living room, all of Grey's guards were there.
"What about that group? Did everyone really die?" Ocean asked.
One of Grey's guards nodded. "Yes. Everyone, we've checked the whole house. We wanted to take one person hostage for questioning. Only he killed himself."
Grey growled. "What an asshole. It must be Robert."
"Yes. It was him." Athena opened her voice and everyone turned to her. "When they killed me, they said that Seth had told them to kill me because Seth couldn't get me, no one could."
Grey clenched his fist. "Ass hole! They really wanted to-akh." Grey was in pain when he unconsciously moved too much and made the wound hurt. Athena hurriedly picked him up.
"This is you! Already in pain, still moving around a lot. We'd better go to the hospital now. Let's go."
"No. No need."
"Then, call a personal doctor. You have one, right, besides Noah?"
"I've kicked out all my personal doctors since I met Noah. So, I'm not available."
"What then?!" said Athena who was getting panicky.
"Miss! We can call Mr. Wilson's personal doctor. He can come and help!"
Athena was instantly relieved. There was hope. "Then hurry up and call!"
"No."
Athena turned to Grey who looked at her sternly. Athena sighed. Grey was really stubborn. "You're already like this, why are you still stubborn, Grey?! Do you want to die?! That's it. Don't mind what he says and call his father's personal physician immediately."
Ocean nodded. "Okay—"
"I said don't! You dare contradict me, Ocean?"
Ocean, who had been holding his cell phone in his pants pocket, immediately stopped. Grey looked at him with an intimidating gaze that made Ocean couldn't help but undo his intentions. Athena, on the other hand, really couldn't understand Grey. Even though this was related to her life.
"Grey! Are you crazy?!"
"I'm not going to die. Ocean can help bandage my wounds. We have medicine."
"But—"
"If you really don't want to see me die. Take me to my room immediately. I need to treat my wound immediately," Grey interrupted, leaving Athena no other choice. Grey was really stubborn.
"That's it. Let's go!"
Ocean immediately helped carry Grey to Grey's room to treat his wound.
**
"Are you sure you don't want to call a doctor? If you treat it like this, are you sure it's effective? Just go to the hospital, how about that? I feel—"
"Sshh. You're so loud, alley girl," Grey interrupted. Back to using that nickname. "I'm fine. How many times do I have to tell you? I'm used to getting hurt."
"But—"
"Never mind."
Grey put his clothes back on after the wound was finished with Ocean's help to treat the wound. Ocean had already stitched up the wound. Grey had painkillers and Ocean was already skilled at this kind of thing because he had been taught for urgent situations. However, it was still better to use a doctor. Grey also felt more pain due to the limited medicines.
"You guys just get out. I want to rest."
"How about I accompany you?"
"I won't be able to sleep. Just get out."
Athena hesitated. Athena was really worried. Athena then walked closer to Grey, took some tissues from the tissue box on the nightstand, and wiped Grey's sweat from the wound treatment process.
"Okay, I'm out. But, let me know if you need anything. Call me."
Grey only replied with a nod. Then, finally Ocean, Athena and the others went out. Regarding Karin, Karin was already fine. She had only fainted from the hard impact.
"Why is Grey actually so stubborn? Why won't he call a doctor to check? He's more willing to endure the pain of having his wound stitched up by you. Even though doctors have more complete equipment and medicine. With treatment like that, is it effective?" scolded Athena immediately after walking out of Grey's room.
Ocean smiled. Even though Athena was nagging, Ocean knew that Athena was worried about Grey. "Because of his father."
