Back at the safe house, we regrouped in the main room, the atmosphere thick with tension and determination. Laura was resting in a nearby room, recovering from her ordeal. Butch and the rest of the team gathered around the table, their faces hard with resolve.
I stood at the head of the table, my mind racing with plans and contingencies. Anthony Moretti had pushed us to the brink, but now it was our turn to strike back.
"We need to be smart about this," I began, looking each of my men in the eye. "Moretti's expecting retaliation, but we're not going to play into his hands. We hit him where he least expects it."
Butch leaned forward, his gaze intense. "What's the plan, Gabriel?"
I outlined the strategy. "We'll divide and conquer. Moretti has three main operations: his drug trade, his money laundering, and his arms dealing. We disrupt these, we weaken his power base. But we do it simultaneously, so he can't retaliate effectively."
