I sincerely thanked the Pope for his thoughts and intentions, but I told him it was still too early to make such plans. Before we reach the moments he speaks of, we must first eliminate the danger surrounding us. We need to obtain a written confession from Cardinal Piccolomini so that we can accuse him of occultism and either kill him or excommunicate him.

I already know how to make him write this confession, so it seems I have won the war itself. The next time I meet with him, I will make him confess using my vampire powers, which I no longer need to hide, as the entire College already knows my true identity.

I went to my room, satisfied that I could speak with the Pope for a few moments and, above all, because I received confirmation that my fight is righteous and in the Church's best interest.
