Jin pressed the holographic screen on his watch twice while pointing it towards the two C difficult bounties.
Their holographic image disappeared from the board in the process, much to the shock of the others.
"That psycho accepted two of the most difficult jobs available…"
"That's an outright death sentence, what the hell is wrong with that guy…"
"No one is that desperate for money…"
Murmurs like this were the norm amongst the other bounty hunters who watched Jin accept the most difficult and high-paying jobs without a change in his expression.
'If I can do these before Thirteen wakes up, I need to visit the doc and we are going to be set for a while… I should buy a gun with this amount first.' Thought about it Jin before looking one last time at his balance.
'1270… I'm going to lose this tonight… how upsetting.' Jin wasn't the least excited about spending his money, but he needed a good gun before he could begin the jobs he took upon himself.
Jin's watch began to beep two times in response to him accepting the jobs, he only needed to talk with a clerk and finalize the acceptance of the jobs.
He casually strode towards the end of the building, heading for the clerk behind the bulletproof glass.
Unlike the pharmacy, this glass wasn't just clean, but military grade as well, capable of withstanding the highest caliber.
Behind the military-grade glass wall, stood the clerk, a young man around the age of twenty.
He wore an eye patch that covered most of the ugly scar that ran across half of his face, scarring his otherwise handsome facial features.
He had dirty blond hair and emerald green eyes, much like Jin's, and wore a white uniform provided by the Contractor Agency.
"Nice to meet you, Zar, it's a good day, isn't it?' Jin greeted the man that he referred to as Zar with a polite smile on his face.
"It's nice to meet you today as well, Mister Jin, but it's the middle of the night, and it's still a couple of hours until morning," the young man corrected in a monotone voice, his face completely devoid of emotion.
"You are right…" Said Jin, scratching the back of his neck.
"Anyway Zar, I want to do these two C-difficulty contracts, give me the seal of approval and I'm on my way." Said Jin while smiling at Zar, something that the young man did not mirror.
"Understood, Mister Jin. Good luck with the contracts," replied the young man, not mirroring the astonishment of the mercs inside the place, even though he knew the dangers the jobs posed.
With that, he received the Seal of Approval, his watch beeping in confirmation.
"Thank you, Zar!" Smiled Jin for the last time while walking out of the building, his smile was nowhere to be found.
'Let's get this over with, we still need to snoop around about those Genesis Corp. Bastards…' Sighed Jin while walking towards the closest weapon shop, already dreading the prices he was about to witness.
He opened his map, just to see that the closest weapon shop was literally the next building to the contract's hub.
'Makes Sense.' Thought Jin while walking into the shop, only to see a chubby clerk in the back of the Shop, wearing military-grade armor, the building was in good condition, not as high of a quality as the other building, but it was high grade nonetheless.
"Good evening or something like that sir… I want to buy a good long and close-range weapon." Said Jin with a wide smile on his face.
Without saying a single word, the chubby gun store clerk typed into his terminal before him, bringing up a wide variety of weapons in a holographic way so that he could look at them.
The terminal before him was a selection of Corporation names.
Zenith, Solstice, Genesis, Hyperion, and Ark.
Pressing one of the holographic buttons in front of him, Jin traversed to another selection in the Solstice weapons, his eyes instantly locking onto one of the sniper rifles.
"740 credit… I want to buy that sniper." Said Jin out loud, his mouth almost watering, for the first time, bringing a smile to the face of the store clerk as he walked back pressing another button on a nearby terminal, bringing forth a line, pressing another button, this line began to move with high speed, bringing the very same hunting rifle that Jin picked up.
"This is a trustworthy Solstice Sniper, one of the corp's very best that we have available here." Said the store clerk with a wide smile and a newfound glint in his eyes.
"It's going to be perfect… now I just need a pistol or some sort of lower caliber weapon and a knife." Continued Jin while looking at the still available holographic screen before him.
"There is a discount on Ark pistols at the moment, are you interested in that?" Asked the store clerk, just the name of Ark had given Jin a bad taste in his mouth, but he needed any weapon he could get right now.
"Yes, show it to me, what do they offer?" Asked Jin while a new holographic screen showed up before him, all of them showing different types of handguns, all of them from Ark corporation, the largest and oldest of them all, all of their weapons were energy types.
Looking at the handguns and their prices, one of them caught Jin's eye.
It was a simple handgun that shot electricity-infused bullets, something that could help Jin a lot, without a second thought Jin selected the gun and paid for both of the handgun and the rifle, leaving him with just 170 credits.
'I need a knife as well, then I'm fully prepared to take on the bounties.' Thought Jin as this time, he began to search on his watch that was now connected to the terminal, he was searching for close-range weapons.
With a simple search, he found a good knife in the collection, this one was a Zenith-made weapon.
"I'm going with this one." Said Jin out loud as he paid for the weapons, leaving him with 70 credits.
'Such a depressingly low amount… I need to finish those jobs as fast as possible, I still need to buy some ammo.' Thought Jin as he turned towards the clerk once again.
"I'm going to need some armor-piercing rounds, some electric gun charges, and some poisonous coating that you have for knives." Said Jin as he resided his watch again to pay for them as well, but to his surprise, the chubby weapon store clerk refused his watch with a wide smile on his face.
"No need sir, this is on the house after buying this many weapons." Said the clerk, his smile did not fade.
"Oh, there was really no need to do that, but I'm grateful.' Said Jin with a polite smile on his face while he made a small bow towards the clerk in a sign of appreciation.
'Oh thank god, at least I have this much left oh my god I did NOT want to pay for that ammo, at least I have some reason to not pay.' The clerk wasn't even close to being aware of how grateful Jin was in reality.
Picking up his newly bought weapons from the store, now he was ready to head out and do his job and hunt.
Opening the interface of his watch brought out a holographic menu, showing the details of his two newly signed contracts.
