Arden had woken up to his roommate screaming.He got up and ran to the kitchen where the screaming was coming from `Dan! Whats happening-' He broke off noticing Dan his ginger haired and blue eyes roommate was chasing a roach with a broom `Come-back-here-you-stupid-roach!' He panted still trying to catch the roach `Oh hey, Arden' He said `Do you mind helping out here?' Dan said looking at Arden with his freckled face `Sorry but I really need a shower.' Arden said looking up at Dan.`Fine but after that you gotta help.'Dan said still trying to catch the roach. Arden walked into the bathroom. After taking a shower he walked up to the mirror. His reflexion looked back at him, he was short, tanned, had dark hair and dark eyes. He was wearing a white short sleeved uniform with a weasel badge and the words "George Ronald's Boarding School" Printed onto the shirt, on top he wore an oversized Grey hoodie and black nail polish.Eh its not like it matters if I go to detention again Arden said to himself. He then walked out of the bathroom hoping Dan had already caught the roach but instead he saw Dan on top of the counter holding a broom and a bottle of Febreze. Arden watched as Dan kept missing every time he hit the floor with the broom `Well don't just stand there!' Dan said `Wouldn't it be better if just deal with it later? ' Arden asked crossing his arms. `And let it lay eggs? No thanks!' Dan answered. `But won't we be late? ' Arden replied `Not unless we get it in time.' Dan answered. Arden rolled his eyes`Get me my sandal' Arden sighed. Dan reached for Arden's sandal and gave it to him. After being handed his sandal Arden started looking for the roach. Then from the corner of his eye her saw a moving, brown, disgusting bug the size of a hair clip. Arden turned to face the roach but instead of seeing one roach, he saw two. He then turned to Dan `Okay, so I catch the first one then you get the second one.' Arden said pointing at the roaches, Dan's face looked paler than usual but instead he nodded as if to say "I don't actually want to do this but you're my friend so I have no choice." Or at least that is what Arden thought Dan's nod meant. Arden had gone after the first roach, chasing after it like a feral cat. Arden threw his sandal at it and managed to crush it. Dan on the other hand was still struggling to even find it and Arden knew why. `Dan why aren't you wearing your glasses? ' Arden asked knowing his "question" would remind Dan.` Uh, about that..' Dan said after finally managing to kill it `I couldn't exactly find it this morningâŚ' Dan said his face turning from pale to red. `Have you tried looking under the bed? ' Arden asked `UmâŚno.' Dan replied looking embarrassed. `Well we need to hurry or we'll be late like last time.' Arden said, 'Its was the one time!' Dan replied, his face turning redder. Both Dan and Arden remembered the last time they were late, Dan had forgotten to iron his uniform and Arden was in charge of breakfast. `Well if you don't get your glasses now then it'll be the second time we're late.' Arden said crossing his arms. Dan walked in his room and came out a minute later wearing red square shaped glasses. Arden grinned and lightly punched Dan's shoulder, he then looked at his watch and his grin quickly went away `Quick! We're already late! ' Arden said as he grabbed Dan's wrist and dragged him out of the door. Dan looked shocked as he ran with Arden still grabbing onto Dan's wrist.
As they ran past giggling students,lockers and a few trashcans.As they ran, the Canadian national anthem had started playing.Arden, Dan and other pupils had stood silently still.After the anthem had stopped, Arden and Dan continued running until they saw their classroom at the end of the hall.

They ran and burst through the door, in the classroom was a whiteboard, a teacher's desk, student desks, chairs filled with pupils.A girl with dark skin and a black Afro ran up to them, she had slightly pointy ears, and had a round face, she was wearing the George Ronald's uniform and she wore a pleated skirt that went to knee length, she was wearing a green crystal necklace and she looked about 13, the same age as both Dan and Arden `Where have you guys been!?' She asked knitting her eyebrows `Sorry,-Cal-we-had-a bug problem' Arden replied panting both Dan and Arden were beaded with sweat from running.Cal opened her mouth slightly looking behind them in shock `Uh, Cal you good?' Dan asked `You three!' a raspy voice hissed from behind. Dan and Arden jumped and turned to see who the voice belonged to. A woman with Grey hair tied back in a bun glared at them, she looked about 50 and she wore a long sleeved floral dress, a longs red skirt and she was carrying the longest ruler Arden had ever seen.Oh, right inspection day, Arden remembered `First, you two are late!' She yelled pointing at Dan and Arden `Second, you two are going against dress-code AGAIN!' she hissed jabbing her finger at Cal and Arden's chest `Third, YOU girl are not in your seat!' she yelled pointing her wrinkled finger at Cal while the other classmates turned their attention on them `And do you know what happens to students who misbehave?' she said glaring at the three of them with cruel Grey eyes, then Dan talked back `Look, Miss.Rose we can explain-' `No excuses!' Miss.Rose interrupted `You three are following me to the office RIGHT-THIS-INSTANT!' she yelled. Arden, Dan and Cal followed Miss.Rose, as they walked in the halls Arden looked down at his converse and noticed Miss.Rose's shadow kept flickering looking more and more like a sinister dragon.It must be a trick of the light, Arden thought, he then looked back up, Dan had been walking next to him, he had a nervous look to his face meanwhile Cal had been walking behind them fidgeting with her necklace.The more they kept walking the more he felt a sense of dread.
They then stopped in front of the Principal's office `Get in you three' Miss.Rose growled, when they got inside they sat on three wooden chairs.In front of them was a big desk and Miss.Rose sitting behind it `You three have been nothing but trouble ever since YOU got here!' She yelled pointing at Arden with disgust `Look we didn't mean to be late okay?' Arden talked back daring Miss.Rose to argue with him.Dan and Cal held Arden back before he did anything worth getting expelled for `Furious are we?' Miss.Rose said smiling as if Arden's anger entertained her.Then Cal stood up and spoke `Miss, they really didn't mean-' `Hush girl!' Miss.Rose hissed she then walked towards a locker.She must be writing our information or something, Arden thought to himself but instead of opening the locker she started whispering to it. Arden, Dan and Cal exchanged confused looks.She then opened the locker leaving a gap and walked out the door shutting the door behind her.`That's super weirdâŚ' Cal said looking behind knitting her eyebrows in confusion.Then they heard noises coming from the locker `ROARRR!!!' the noise had made the three of them jump, Arden had picked up a pencil from the desk and stalked towards it in fear with Dan and Cal behind him.Before they could get any closer a dragon swiftly crawled out.They jumped in shock.The dragon had a long neck, looked way too big to fit in the locker, had red scales, twirled horns and canine teeth.It snapped it's jaws growling and glaring at them.They slowly backed up, the dragon the opened it's mouth forming a big ball of fire `DUCK!' Arden commanded, Dan and Cal understood and they ducked as fire flew over them.Arden then remembered he was holding a pencil, Arden quickly ran towards the dragon.It looked both stunned and confused, before it could do anything Arden jumped and stabbed the dragon in the eye.It panicked breaking things down in the process `Quick! Under the desk!' Arden yelled as he sprinted towards the desk with Dan and Cal following behind him.When they hid under the desk, Arden poked his head out of the desk watching the dragon crash things in a state of panic.He got back under the desk `We're gonna need a plan' He said panting, Dan and Cal looked at each other then looked at him like he was crazy `ArdenâŚthat's insane!' Cal hissed quietly `Shes right you know ' Dan said nodding in agreement `I was born insane.' Arden replied grinning like a mad-man `We can tell' Dan and Cal said in unison. After they planned for a bit they silently crawled out of the desk.The dragon had flipped and broke almost everything in the room `Oi, one-eye!' Arden yelled getting the dragon's attention `Come and get me!' Arden dared waving his arms in the air.The dragon then opened it jaws, Arden dodged as a ball of flame shot past him.He blew a raspberry mocking the dragon.The dragon growled but before it could come any closer "BONK!" It got hit on the head byâŚa "1# Best Principal" mug?The dragon turned to see who had threw the mug at it, Cal was standing there holding a bunch of sharp pencils but the dragon the quickly lost interest, instead the dragon noticed Dan sneaking up behind it.It swished it's tail causing Dan to trip and fall onto the hard wooden floor `DAN!' Arden yelled as he ran to Dan and realized he had been knocked out cold, his glasses were shattered leaving only the red frame.Cal and Arden had been so furious that they didn't even realize what they were doing.Cal had dropped her pencils and almost immediately they grew into full grown trees meanwhile Arden realized his shadow had turned into a big solid hand.Cal and Arden gasped in unison almost forgetting about the dragon until it roared Arden came back to his senses and did what he guessed he was meant to-do. He made a punching gesture towards the dragon.The solid shadow hand did the same and started punching the dragon.The dragon then fell to the floor unconscious.he solid shadow hand had returned to being Arden's normal shadow.Cal and Arden exchanged stunned looks.Arden remembered that he was crouching behind Dan's unconscious body, Arden struggled to carry Dan `Here let me help.' Cal said running up to him.They the realized the windows were unlocked the whole time.As they were about to crawl out Arden looked back and noticed one of the compartments in the desk were opened `Wait.' He told Cal.He walked towards it and then took a peak inside of the compartment and too out an envelope with the words
"From:King Goliath To:Miss.Rose" Arden showed the envelope to Cal `King Goliath?' Cal said confused `Do you think we should open it?' Arden asked looking at Cal.Cal nodded in agreement.Arden opened and read the envelope.He then gasped `What!what is it!?' Cal asked Arden felt like he had a lump in his throat `It saysâŚ'
