Side story 1: Academy (Hiku) legendary weapons History lecture

In a dimly lit classroom filled with curious students, the magical teacher Hiku began his lecture. The room buzzed with the anticipation of learning about legendary weapons. Suddenly, Hiku's eyes sparkled with an idea.

"Who wants to learn about the history of the legendary weapons?" he asked.

The students immediately sat up straight, their attention fully captured. Hina, a girl sitting near the back, raised her hand and asked, "What kind of weapons are you going to discuss, Teacher Hiku?"

Hiku smiled and opened an ancient, leather-bound book. "Long ago, this world was on the brink of ruin, plagued by thirteen Demonlords. In that dire time, the great sage Carrion forged a sword named Excalibur. Legend has it that the hero Benimaru wielded it but never unleashed its full potential. This sword can destroy mountains if wielded properly. However, if it detects ill intent, it becomes so heavy that no one can lift it."

Hina thought, **Yikes, that's interesting.** Just then, a system voice in her mind responded, **Nope.**

**What do you mean 'nope'?** Hina questioned, her thoughts laced with irritation.

Hiku, oblivious to Hina's internal dialogue, switched topics. He picked up a dust-covered, 600-year-old book, waved away the dust, but ended up choking on it. The students laughed heartily.

"Are you so eager to see your teacher choke on dust?" Hiku asked, half-jokingly.

"No, teacher!" the students chorused, except for Hina, who stayed silent, lost in thought.

Clearing his throat, Hiku continued, "Let me tell you about another legendary weapon, a magical wand. When evil was about to triumph, the goddesses Celestia and Carrion created a wand called the Exodus Scepter. This powerful wand was given to Nila, the first hero to wield it. With the Exodus Scepter, she fended off the demons and became a celebrated hero. However, Nila was poisoned by a treacherous maid and died before she could heal herself. The maid was executed, but when others tried to claim the wand, it burned their hands and then disintegrated, sending shockwaves throughout the world. With Nila gone and the wand destroyed, the demons resumed their assault on the world."

The students were in awe. "Wow, that magical wand was powerful but wasted," one of them remarked.

Hiku chuckled. "Yes, indeed. Such is the tragedy of history."

Hina was deep in thought. **Could my soul have transferred to the wand?**

The system's response came swiftly, **I have no recollection of historical events. I only know you were born two weeks ago. However, the Exodus Scepter described in the history book matches your body wand description.**

**Holy cow, am I that powerful?** Hina wondered.

**Yes, indeed,** the system confirmed.

**Then why do I feel as weak as a normal being?**

**Because your power has been reset to the point you are too weak,** the system explained.

Hina's mind swirled with the revelation, the weight of her potential power and her current limitations pressing heavily upon her. The scent of old books, the sight of her teacher's earnest expressions, and the sound of her classmates' chatter created a backdrop for her newfound understanding. She clenched her fists, determination igniting within her.
