Chapter 1 - The beginning

Levi woke up in a dark abyss and all he could see in the distance was a large churning ball with two energies purple and yellow that seemed to be conflicting with each other. All he could remember was that some minutes back he was with Roman, the head scientist touring the labs with members of the Council.

The scene around him changed as the abyss was now filled with many white glowing balls about the size of a fist floating around. He followed the trail and standing along the trail with him was a transparent man dressed medievally in about his late twenties with purple overflowing hair holding one of the balls, he carried with him an aura filled with arrogance.

"Hey there, who are you and where do you think we are right now?" Lain shouted to the enigmatic stranger.

The stranger tossed the ball he was holding back in the trail and arrogantly turned to look at Levi. He moved close to Levi and tapped on his forehead.

"Huh, you humans meddling with none of your business again. You surely never learn." He sighed.

"I ask again, who are you and where are we?" Levi shouted seemingly disturbed by the stranger's silly rumblings.

"You remind me of someone I stored somewhere safe." He said tapping his belly.

The stranger raised and his body morphed into a colossal purple dragon that emitted an overbearing aura and threatened to consume the abyss before transforming back into a human. At these gestures Levi retreated some steps back.

"I used to go by many names but the ones that sounded like music were 'Bane of Men', 'Dread', you can also call me the Great Wyrm." His aura had now changed to that of a profound scholar and with each name his facial expression changed as though he was recalling some memories.

"You don't have much time left but you must know that though I might be lenient with you my other companions may not be so lenient with the others and you need to stop them before they wreck havoc with you silly beings." He continued before holding the ball from before. He closed his eyes as though in great sorrow.

"And what are those?" Levi interfered.

"These are my memories and they are soon to be yours." the Bane of Men replied.

"But before, you need to make an oath if you may receive my legacy."

"What lega....." Levi was interrupted by the large scroll about the size of a football pitch materialising before him. He immediately bore an awed expression on his olive complexion.

Before he had any more questions Dread turned back into the colossal dragon and flew straight right into the scroll, the scroll lit up and runes formed on it.

"All answers you seek are with you." The scholarly voice of the Great Wyrm resonated through the abyss one last time.

The scroll folded itself and zoomed right into Levi's chest knocking him off his feet. The churning ball of energy started mixing with each other.

"Aaaaaaaahhhhhhh" Levi woke up as though he had jumped out of a nightmare.

Somewhere in a far far away land a man in his late sixties opened his eyes which had a purple glint. He then said enthusiastically, "You're finally back.". His wrinkly face beaming smiles before jumping to his feet from the lotus position he had spent half of his lifetime.

Some days back.....

"Since the great war we have witnessed the formation of the Council, unearthing of the fossils, creation of the Lycans and I hope also today will be going down in the history of the Federation."

Roman was the tour guide and along with him were the most influential people in the world currently(Council) along with Levi and some few guards. They were touring the Labs were the greatest experiments on which the fate of the Federation hung.

Some few years after the great war( a series of wars and massive natural disasters), governments were toppled and the Federation was formed. It was ruled by the five members and below it was the charmed circle which comprised of influential people like royalty from the old times and lords of the current cities. The all out wars and disasters left the planet with little habitable lands as most of it was now desolate wastelands but that did not stop the formidable human race as they rebuilt themselves again from rags.

The most perturbing discovery was yet made and this was of fossils and crystals of great beasts that once roamed the lengths of the planet. The Council built the Labs and from the experiments Lycans were formed but they still wanted something more pure. Something out of their minds like re-building the whole beasts or creating a whole new rank of soldiers that could morph into the beasts themselves.

Suddenly the lights went red and sirens went off all over the place.

"They are here." A scientist met with Roman.

"Who?" Before even Roman's question was finished a large black wolf jumped on the scientist and tore him to pieces.

Tim Gray, one of the Council stepped forward tapped on his chest and a mecha enveloped his whole body. He then blasted the head off the wolf. Though he was rather slim with specs on his face, Tim now looked like a hero straight out a manga.

"That's it baby." He added congratulating himself upon the show he had put on. This was just the beginning as they could hear muffled and blood curdling screams further down the corridor.

The bloody scene left the scientists rather disgusted. Berunga the Supreme General took a squadron of five with him and left two to guard the others. He continued down the corridor.

"Hey there old friend." An ominous voice spoke through the speakers.

"Seems like someone ain't satisfied with one scar. Come out here and I wag your ass Scarface." Berunga shouted at the screens he was now looking at.

They were in the control room and on the screen was an ominous looking man putting on black with a hat. He was holding a leash with three large wolfs that looked ready to devour anything.

"Don't worry we are soon gonna meet old friend and this time round I have a little surprise." Orlick the man on the screens added with an evil chuckle before the screens blacked out again.

Meanwhile Levi was left with Roman and nine other scientists were left in one of the rooms and the guards plus the other council members had continued the other side of the corridor promising to come back for them. Roman was pacing up and down the room where the most vital parts of the experiments were stored . These were the final pieces, there were large glass cylinders in the room which were filled with liquid that moved about as if they were alive.

A blast went off and the largest of the glass cylinders fell and broke on Levi knocking him unconscious the others also fell down and broke. The purple fluid that was inside Levi's glass cylinder twirled speedily around Lain's body before entering and disappearing inside his body. A dragon's tattoo instantly formed on his right chest and he groaned lightly though he was still unconscious.

The other scientists including Roman moved closer to take a peek but before they inched in on him they were got by the remaining fluids and the same happened to the knocking them unconscious. Now the room was filled with unconscious scientists laying down.
