Chapter 77 - Unlikely Alliance

At the age of ten, you would know absolutely nothing about the opposite gender.

Yes, you can say that you love someone, but do you really?

What will you do if she or he becomes your lover?

At ten, there is nothing you would do besides holding hands and sitting close to each other.

That is why, on my first encounter with the woman who would become my wife, I called her ugly.

In fact, I don't regret saying those words, as I didn't want anything to do with saving the planet Earth.

My motto has always been, "Care for those who care about you. Don't give a fuck to those who don't give a fuck about you."

However, instead of feeling insulted by my words, my filthy rich and ignorant future wife just shrugged me off and walked to her limousine.

"If you ever wish to change your way of living, you are free to consult me. I am positive you know where to find me."

"You didn't leave your business card," I said with a frustrated face.

"Hahaha, that's not funny at all."

"Then why did you laugh?"

Bam-!

The door of her car closed shut, as she didn't want to hear any more bullshit coming out of my mouth.

Not paying attention to why such a rich kid was walking around without any bodyguards, I used my phone to turn off the alarm system of the sedan car next to me and unlocked its doors.

And unfortunately, that car happened to belong to the escort of the President of the Republic of Russia.

I did not know how to drive, so my phone did everything for me, even selling the car for two hundred and fifty thousand.

As expected, all that money ended up being spent on sweets, renovating my house, and illegal gambling. I was ten, so I can say I used my head there.

Well, that doesn't matter. In my next thieving issue, I played it big. No, I played it extremely huge.

I will say this over a million times, "Never do what I did."

Then why did I do it? Simple, because my mind is messed up, big time.

Anyway, back to the story. News had been circulating that one of the top ten richest families in the world at that time, the Kronos family, was going to visit Rome on a family trip.

As a thief, this was my chance to increase the amount of money in my wallet. Unlike other rich families, the Kronos were known for keeping ancient relics.

Don't laugh, but they were the only family in the world who still had a bicycle.

Did you know that bicycles went extinct in 2053, after the arrival of single-passenger drones, just like how cars replaced horse carriages?

Ahem, I'm bad at telling stories. I've gone off-topic.

Anyways, I planned to steal one of those artifacts and sell it off on the black market for no less than ten million United States dollars.

After making fake papers and beating the hell out of two or three people, I managed to forge an identification card as one of the special guards.

A lot of the special agents complained about my height, as they suspected that my age of 23 was fake, which was true.

However, after beating the shit out of their best men, I was tasked to be the guard of the Kronos family's youngest daughter, something I tried hard to avoid.

"You really are a jack of all trades. I never expected our next encounter to be like this."

Luckily, I was wearing a face mask, or the owner of the blue eyes staring at me with curiosity dancing all over them would have had a blast laughing at me.

'I knew I would run into her, yet I still decided to steal from this family,' I thought, maintaining my poker face.

I cleared my throat to chase away the awkwardness I was feeling before saying, "Your highness, you must be mistaking me for someone else."

The blondie next to me let out a sweet but annoying giggle that echoed throughout the whole backseat area of the Maybach we were seated in.

"Do you think you can fool me? You are the only one with that kind of hair in this world."

'Shit, I should have dyed my hair!' I thought in panic.

Nobody had brought up the issue about my hair in the past four months, so it was only natural for me at that time to not consider such minor details.

As a bead of sweat fell from my face, the frail-pale-skinned girl crossed her small arms.

"I know almost everything about you, Tito Rouz."

'Like I would believe such words coming from a child's mouth.'

Thinking about it, she was born in February of the same year as me, so technically speaking, she was older than me.

Honestly, even now, I still think of her as being younger than me.

Oblivious to my thoughts, the rich girl added, "Should I call you Tito Roux Z now? I heard that you and your family are not on good terms."

'I really should punch her in the face.'

I took a deep breath and ignored her as I stared out the window, trying to avoid her, but she seemed attracted to me.

What can I say? I am one hell of a cute dude. Note, I didn't say handsome.

"Hey Tito, what do you say about my previous offer? I think you are really cute."

However, as someone who was always cursed about his looks, I found myself twisting my face at my first compliment.

Nonetheless, I had no reason to get angry at her.

The rich girl beside me tilted her head with her index finger on her cheek.

"Huh? Are you always this silent? You should learn to socialize with others if you want to fit in. Remember, no man is an island. Just as crops need fertilizers to grow, humans need people to be called humans."

I turned to look out the window. "You talk a lot."

And that is when I realized something I should have noticed earlier.

"We are kidnapped."
