Chapter Seventy-Four:
'Love,
I am so sorry that I didn't go last night to what we talked about to meet. I have my reason and I need to talk to you personally. Right now, I am not allowed to come out of the palace the reason why I send you this letter because this is the only way I can ask you to meet me when you have time. I hope you can come here at the palace as soon as you receive this letter. You will meet my nanny Wei at the back of the palace as soon as you come here.
Siara'
As soon as I read Siara's letter I quickly came out of my house and went straight to Manu Kingdom. I went at the back of the palace and there I immediately saw a woman standing at the gate that Siara always going in.
Seeing the woman, I already knew that she's a pure human, she stands at five feet and six inches tall, she's slim and pretty enough to be notice though with her serious features, it was hard to talk to her especially if you don't really know her. That made me a bit kind of nervous but I think she was the one that Siara talking to her letter.
So, I take a very deep breath before I approach her. "Are you… Wei?" I'm kind of feeling doubt of asking her but I don't have a choice but to ask her.
She looks at me emotionless before she answered. "Come." All she said before he opened the gate and i just silently followed her.
This is the second time I entered the Manu Palace but the only difference now is that I came in at the back of the palace. If the entrance of the palace looks so high and mighty, with large hallways and with a center fountain before you can come in to the throne of their king. At the back of the palace looks so dark with small hallways though you can see at the right a small garden with a light that comes from a medium size translucent roof that gives light for the plants and flowers planted at the garden. Still the whole place at the back emitting darkness with few small windows that guides us through the hallways. Until we reach a staircase, not too grand but looks extravagant with simplicity on it.
We took that stairs and welcome us the hallways of light that coming from the large windows that guides us through the second floor of the palace. By the looks of it, it was the same features from the front of the palace. High and mighty with a touch of ancient times, a remarkable place to see but even if the whole place emitting such marvelous features, I couldn't stop myself not to feel empty, as if it missing something so important that will complete the beauty it holds.
"Here we are." Suddenly Wei speaks up that caught me off guard and didn't notice that we already reached a room. "My Lady, Duke Haimon is here." She announced and before I could say a word the door sprang open and I quickly saw Siara.
"Love." she immediately embraces me as soon as she saw me. "I'm glad you came."
I embrace her back. "I actually came here right after I read your letter. So, what is going on?" I immediately asked her.
Siara breaks our embrace and look up to me. "Come in first and I'll explain everything to you inside." She said turning her head to Wei. "Thank you, Wei, from bringing him here."
"My pleasure, my Lady." She answered and before leaving us alone.
"Come." Siara pulled me in to her room that I hesitated at first but then I followed her and as soon as came in, the room is simple and anciently beautiful and it isn't just a room.
It has a small living room in it before you entered her room making me feel at ease because we can talk here without any problem.
"What happened?" I asked afterwards.
"Sorry if I didn't go to our meeting place last night." She begins.
"You don't have to feel sorry, because I know you have a compelling reason. So tell me what that is?"
"It was about Kanik."
"What about him?"
"He finds out the truth about me."
It took me long before her words sink in into my head. "He already knew about what exactly?"
"That I was just hiding under the name 'Liraz' and he already knew my real name. He even threatens me to announce to everyone about what he had learned. Although, until now he didn't make any move to announce it and I really hope he will stay quiet for a while until my father find out a way to stop him."
"No." I shake my head in disbelief.
"What? Why?"
"Knowing Kanik, I'm sure he has something else to do and whatever it is he is certainly preparing to reveal to everyone the stronger evidence that could bring down your father." I seriously stated.
Meinir's Residence
"What a surprise, you suddenly came here Harkan." Lucius answered as soon as he faces me.
"I know it took me long before I came here but the thing is--"
"It is about Siara." He cuts me off and directly told the real reason why am I here. "And Kanik already found out the truth but not exactly the whole truth."
"How did you find out?!" I surprisingly asked.
"I have my ways." He just simply answered. "But that doesn't matter now because matter most is how can you handle him? Knowing Prince Kanik, he won't just stay quiet. He rather finds more truth about the secrets that we all trying to hide. So, if I were you, introduce your daughter to the public."
"I can't do that."
"Because they can ask who her mother is? Is that what you worry?
"Yes, indeed because it might trouble my sister's name."
