Chapter Seventy-Five:

"Yes, indeed because it might trouble my sister's name."
"Not only that, you might put yourself in trouble," Lucius answered.
What he said is right. Of the seven families given the opportunity by their ancestor to live as a vampire without a soul one is his clan in that family. And we cannot breed any blood from any outsider. We can only marry the chosen one into seven families so that only there can circulate the pure blood that is from our ancestor and that is the only thing that can come together so that we can produce pure blood that is right from the Manu Clan.
So, my wife was also from seven chosen families but since I had not yet sat on the throne before, when the battle broke out between our clan and the Edelweiss Clan, one of the dead was my wife and at that time my sister gave birth to her child in a natural way. Though death came to her and to her husband leaving their only child alone and because no one would know if me and my wife got a child. I openly adopted my sister's child but keeping it out on the public.
But the only bad thing I did was that I also lied to Siara. I told her that she was a child of a mere human, which I save just to save her a let her live with my blood. Making her as a half-blood as what she knows the reason why I couldn't let her introduce to the public.
I take a deep breath before I answered. "This is complicated than what I thought."
"Yes, indeed it is." Lucius answered. "So, what are you going to do now? Because if I were you, I will clear myself first to Siara and tell her that she isn't a half-blood."
"How? She might get angry when she finds out I lied." I complained.
"That's the risk you need to face."
"I think I don't have a choice." I finally resigned.
Manu Palace
The long silence finally ends when Siara finally breaks it.
"What are you going to do?" she asked.
"Does your father already know this?"
"Yes. I already told him before I told you."
"That is the reason why you were not allowed to leave the palace, right?"
"Yes." She sadly answered that also makes me sad and without thinking further I pulled her and embrace her. "Don't be sad, it will all pass away."
"I know but I couldn't stop thinking and it really worries me a lot as I keep thinking of what will happen in the future. With our future," she said and looks up to me without breaking our embrace.
"Don't worry." I spoke. "I will find a way to make Kanik do nothing." She nodded. "By the way, is your father here?"
"I don't know, why you ask?"
"We need to talk."
"Uhm," she nodded as she leaned back her head to my chest. "He did tell me that he was the one to talk to you but since I couldn't be bothered anymore so I made a way to talk to you myself."
"Why did you disobey your father's command? He might resent you even more if he learned what you have done!" I worriedly stated and I am really feeling so worry because she might end up being lock up longer than what she experiencing right not.
"I know but… I can't allow myself not to tell you in person of what happened. And I am ready to face any consequences."
"No!" I exclaimed. "This isn't right I will face him and tell him it was me who force to meet you."
"Haimon!"
"I can't allow you be punished, for something you didn't intend to do so, let me help you and protect you, Siara. Just let me."
Siara look up to me once again and it was all written through her face. She also didn't want me to get in trouble because of her wrong decision. But I am decided I will own it and explain to his father that it was me who badly wanted to see her at any cause.
Afterwards…
Siara and I both faced her father the King and how long we argued over which of us would take the blame it also took as long before one of us speak in front of her father. I decided to speak first and said what I just told Siara earlier.
"It is my fau--" I forcibly stop when Siara spoke together with me, which makes me look at her. "What are you doing?" I asked in whispered.
Though Siara looks at me with a surprised gaze, "what am I doing?" she brought back my question to me.
"Siara, we've already talked about this."
"And I didn't agree to it."
"Then--" suddenly the King, her father, breaks in to our conversation.
"There is no need to hide the truth, Duke Haimon." He spoke. "I already know everything so please let's get straight to our topic." He firmly answered.
"What? You already knew?" Siara asked him curiously.
"What do you think of yourself don't you have guards around you that will surely report something strange happened? That is why when Wei left the palace, she was also been track with one of my loyal guards the reason why I've learned of what you have done."
"That is not fair!" she complained.
"Will you shut up, Siara! This isn't the right time for your tantrums." He firmly stated as Siara just silently pouted. "Anyway, I knew that Siara already told you about what happened, right Duke Haimon?"
"Yes, King Harkan." I answered. "Kanik already knew her secret."
"Indeed. Yet until this day, I still hear nothing from him. And I am not sure if he will stay quiet or he was planning to do something else before he reveals the truth."
"I can say it was the latter. Knowing Kanik, he's trying to find something else."
