Ninth Kingdom
"Stop it Asim." Kamali quickly interrupted him. "Because he was right, we couldn't do anything unless they succeed to go back to reality on their own."
Silence.
"And it seems he finally learned about me." Suddenly Epiales broke the silence.
"Almos." Asim answered.
"Indeed, he is. And I think I need to go." He said before vanishing out of their sights.
"Now, we can only hope that Almos and Jeanne will go out from Epiales punishment." Kamali hopefully answered.
…
Nightmare's Realm
"Why don't you just call him?" Sylvia suddenly suggested.
"That is what I will do." I said and called out his name. "God Epiales."
"I'm glad that you've finally awake Angel Almos."
"Why are you doing this to us?"
"You really don't know?"
"I…" I deeply sighed as I think of the reason why he was doing this to us.
"Think of it first." He said before he vanished.
"What––" I was about to follow him when Sylvia stop me that made me to stare back at her.
"She's here."
…
I'm back at the rooftop and surprisingly I saw him standing right where we last saw each other yet this time he's with someone else.
"Jeanne!" he called out my name as soon as he saw me.
"You knew who I am?"
"Of course I knew who you are."
"Then," I was about to asked when I remember his companion. "Who is she?"
"Just ignore me." She answered before turning her gaze to our class president. "I'll leave it to you."
"What!" he was about to stop her but she was just vanished in air.
"What the f@ck!" I cursed out loud. "What was that?!" I hysterically asked him.
"Calm down first, Jeanne."
"How can I calm down when I saw unexplainable things? And mostly you! Who are you?!"
He takes a deep before he answered. "I'm… Almos."
He spoke his name and something triggers my memories, his name rings to my ears which cause me a sudden pain and I kneel down on to the ground.
"Ahh!" I screamed as the pain surge in.
"Jeanne!" Almos quickly run to my side and hold me through his arms.
"Just hold her." It was Sylvia who speaks. "She will experience pain since she is a human, but it will subside as soon as she let herself recall the truth."
"But––"
"Almos," I speak between my breaths. "I-I'll be fi-fine…" I said even though the pain keeps pinning into my head as the memories that I've lost gradually coming back.
"She can make it." Sylvia answered while Almos keeps holding me.
…
After a while, I finally regain all my memories and knowing that the life I have in this place was just an illusion. Which I question why?
"Why?" I asked it out loud while I'm trying to normalize my breathing. "Who did this to us, Almos?" I asked as I finally turned my head towards him and look him in the eyes.
"I'm sorry." He quickly apologized. "I didn't mean to drag you here with me."
"What do you mean?"
Almos takes a deep breath before he answered. "The God of Nightmare, he was the one who's responsible of all of these."
"A God?"
"Indeed." It was Sylvia who answered. "And it seems he was already here." She said before the surroundings changes.
…
The whole school was already gone and the only left behind is this wide place, mysterious and foggy.
"God of Nightmare, Epiales." Almos called out his name.
"I'm glad you'd finally called out my name, Angel Almos." From nowhere he emerges out from the thin air. "I've been waiting for you to finally regain your consciousness and also you my Lady." He said looking towards me.
"Why?" I asked. "Why did you do this to us?"
"To punish you. You and Almos." He simply answered.
"Why?" Almos and I asked in unison.
"You don't know! After what you did to my realm of nightmares?" he deeply sighed. "You even brought those dark creatures into the nightmares that don't suppose to be there. Creating a crack into my realm, the reason why Fallen Angel Azazel can easily get through the realm of Dreams and Nightmare. While you, Almos. You almost ruin half of the Dream World that you suppose to protect. So now, you know the reason why I punish you."
I was a bit surprised after hearing what he just said and I have no idea that Azazel used that just to take me for a reason I still don't know why.
"Then, this is my entire fault." I said as my guilt embraces me.
"No!" Almos said. "It isn't your fault, Jeanne. It is my fault, because of my lack as a dream keeper. I couldn't even protect my realm that was given to me nor can protect you and I'm so sorry for everything you've been through." I can feel his sincerity through his words and yet I couldn't just let him take away the entire fault because I'm also a part of it.
