Bjorn tried to run, but his legs were frozen in place. The figures surrounded him, their eyes burning with an unnatural hunger. Kael's voice was cold and detached, echoing off the walls of the chamber.
"They need you, Bjorn. They need your blood to survive."
As the figures closed in, Bjorn felt a surge of adrenaline. He fought back, punching and kicking, but they were too strong. They overpowered him, pinning him to the ground.
Kael's face appeared above him, his eyes gleaming with a sinister light. "You should be proud, Bjorn. You're the key to our eternal life."
Bjorn struggled and screamed as the figures bit into his neck, their fangs piercing his skin. His blood flowed like a river, and he felt his strength fading away.
But then, something strange happened. As his blood flowed into the figures, they began to transform. Their skin became smoother, their eyes brighter, and their movements more fluid.
They were becoming human again.
Kael's face appeared above him once more, a smile spreading across his face. "You see, Bjorn? You're the key to our survival. Our eternal bond."
As the figures transformed, they began to remember their past lives. They remembered their families, their friends, and their loved ones. They remembered the lives they had lived before Kael had turned them.
And they remembered Bjorn.
They looked at him with a newfound gratitude, their eyes shining with tears. They thanked him for giving them back their humanity, for giving them a second chance at life.
Bjorn's heart swelled with emotion as he realized the truth. He wasn't a monster. He was a savior.
As the figures disappeared into the night, Kael's face appeared once more. "You're one of us now, Bjorn. Forever bound to our kind."
And with that, everything went black.
