Bjorn's consciousness returned slowly, his mind foggy and disoriented. He found himself in a bright, sunlit room, surrounded by the figures from the chamber. But they were different now. They were human again, with warm smiles and gentle eyes.
One of them, a woman with long, curly hair, approached him. "Bjorn, we're so grateful to you. You gave us back our lives."
Bjorn's mind raced as he tried to remember what had happened. The chamber, the blood, the transformation...it all came flooding back.
"What about Kael?" he asked, his voice shaking with anger.
The woman's expression turned somber. "Kael is gone. He disappeared after...after what happened in the chamber."
Bjorn's eyes narrowed. "I'll find him. I'll make him pay for what he did to us."
The woman placed a gentle hand on his arm. "No, Bjorn. You don't understand. Kael was just a pawn in a much larger game. A game of power and control."
Bjorn's mind reeled as he tried to comprehend what she was saying. A larger game? What did she mean?
Suddenly, the door burst open, and a figure strode in. A figure with piercing blue eyes and a chiseled jawline.
"Bjorn," the figure said, his voice commanding. "We need to talk."
Bjorn's instincts prickled. Who was this stranger? And what did he want with him?
