Chereads / Alpha and His Girls / Chapter 6 - The Little Action for Romance

Chapter 6 - The Little Action for Romance

As Ethan Wraith walked downstairs, he saw Sophia Mercer's window still lit up, and his heart felt warm. Although the light wasn't waiting for him, knowing that a family member was living well in this world was also a kind of happiness.

He thought to himself, "This little girl must still be studying hard. There are only two months left until the college entrance exam, and her grades are not bad, but who can guarantee that she'll get into her dream university?" Ethan sighed, feeling a bit worried. "It's good that the barbecue stall was destroyed, so she won't be bothered to help me out."

Ethan didn't disturb Sophia and quietly went upstairs, not even turning on the light. He opened the door, poured himself a glass of water, and just as he was about to take a sip, he heard a gentle knock on the door.

Ethan looked up at the clock on the wall, which read 1:30 am. "Who is it?" he asked, feeling a bit silly for asking.

The knocking continued, and Ethan knew it was Sophia. Since he moved into this apartment, Sophia would always knock on his door with a specific rhythm, not too light or too heavy, like a gentle breeze.

"It's me, Sophia," she replied softly from outside, not wanting to disturb the other residents.

"What's up, Sophia?" Ethan asked, not planning to open the door, afraid that Sophia would ask him where he had been.

"Open the door, Ethan," Sophia urged.

Ethan teased, "What's the hurry, Sophia? You're not going to take advantage of me, are you? If you do, you have to take responsibility and buy me a ring, a house, and marry me properly!"

Sophia's voice was already trembling, and Ethan quickly opened the door to see her crying. "What's wrong, Sophia?" he asked, feeling anxious.

Sophia flung herself into Ethan's arms, crying uncontrollably. "I was worried about you... I came to find you many times, but you weren't there. I sat outside your door for half a day, and you didn't come back. I was so scared..."

Ethan's heart melted, and he gently patted Sophia's back, trying to comfort her. "I'm sorry, Sophia. I just went to the park and fell asleep. I didn't mean to worry you."

Sophia's tears finally subsided, and she looked up at Ethan with a smile. Her face was still tear-stained, but her smile was so beautiful.

Ethan's heart skipped a beat, and he leaned in to kiss her. Sophia was taken aback, but soon she responded, and their tongues intertwined. This was their first kiss, and their teeth clashed several times.

"Ah," Ethan exclaimed, feeling Sophia's teeth biting his lip. "How could you cry, Sophia?"

Sophia wiped away her tears, her eyes still red. "I just suddenly felt like crying."

Ethan was taken aback, wondering if women had other hidden dangers besides their periods.

Because of Sophia's sudden tears, Ethan's face was too thick, and he didn't dare to kiss her again. Besides, he hadn't brushed his teeth, and it wasn't hygienic.

"Sophia, help me take off my jacket, and I'll let you take care of my back," Ethan said, teasing her.

Sophia's face turned red, and she looked away, her voice barely audible. "You can't take it off. You need to apply medicine to your back. If you don't, it might get infected."

Ethan smiled, enjoying Sophia's shy reaction. "Okay, I'll give you the chance to take advantage of me. You're responsible for me now."

Sophia's hands were trembling as she helped Ethan apply the medicine. Although she pretended to be calm, her hands betrayed her nervousness.

The two of them didn't speak again, and the room fell silent. The atmosphere was ambiguous, with a single man and woman alone in a room at night. Ethan's mind wandered back to the actress he had seen earlier, and his body began to react.

As Ethan lay on the bed, Sophia's fingers gently touched his face, applying the red medicine to his wound.

"Ow," Ethan cried out, feeling the pain.

"Does it hurt?" Sophia asked, blowing gently on his wound.

Looking at Sophia's red lips and her anxious face, Ethan couldn't resist anymore. He pulled her into his arms and kissed her again.

Sophia was taken aback, but soon she responded, and their tongues intertwined. This was their first kiss, and their teeth clashed several times.

Just as Ethan's rationality and desires were in intense conflict, the knocking on the door started again.

There was some regret, but more relief. Ethan let out a sigh, realizing that tonight was destined to be sleepless.
