the world entered disarray in the year 2050 the moment the aculons entered the earth's atmosphere. their mere presence and technological advancement shook the earth's inhabitants. this was because the aculons were here to invade and conquer. to do so they had taken steps and infiltrated the government, military, and many other important positions beforehand. this led to them being able to take down the humans more easily.

in the face of such an adversary, humans though did not just sit back and watch. despite their limited resources and technology, they managed to put the war at a stalemate using their innate ability to adapt and survive. despite their opponents being on the losing side, the aculons were frustrated. this led them to take a separate approach.

using a bit of their DNA plus a lot of mutation reagents, they managed to create a virus so that the world could eat itself out. this sudden apocalypse reduced the human population to 20 million. through the ashes and several resources and research, it was discovered that some humans possess the ability to merge with the virus DNA making them part aculon part man. this gave them extraordinary strength, regeneration, speed, and will to survive. it also came with a bane of bloodlust and domination. these people were called the 20 aces. they then trained this set of people in the military and assassination arts training them to be core warriors.

simultaneously, they discovered more people could resist and overpower the virus through their RNA and genomes. the dead virus is then used as energy improving the user's strength, speed, and durability without the risk of falling into bloodlust. these people were then dubbed "the 10000 genome warriors".

Due to these anomalies within the human population, humanity was given another opportunity to fight against the Aculon, who was not pleased about it. Seizing the opportunity as a final option. they deployed the world annihilator, a bomb that may clear out all the humans. the only problem was the radiation and pulse would make the planet barren and mutated. it also will make the planet's tectonic plates to be very unstable resulting in frequent earthquakes. 

The planet cannot be easily conquered with these conditions unless it recovers. With their egos and peak frustration, they decided to launch it and return after 200 years.

this did not bode well for the remaining human civilization, as they did not have enough bunkers for the surviving population. They placed all genome fighters and aces, willing or not, in cryogenic pods, hoping they would survive. This was done to preserve their bodies, protect them from mutations and radiation, and keep them in stasis until they awaken after a hundred years. As the day of cataclysm approached, the remaining humans were filled with fear and desperation. Some rushed towards the bunkers, hoping to find safety and shelter, while others cried out for help, desperately seeking any form of assistance that could help them survive. The day the bomb was set to detonate, wiping out all of humanity, was referred to as "the day of reckoning." 

100 years later,

In a room filled with several other pods, a 19-year-old man opens his eyes with much difficulty. Upon waking, the pod opened to reveal a young man with dark hair and golden eyes, who could be rated 8 out of 10 in terms of attractiveness.. sitting upright, he looked confused and lost. he then touched his body feeling some slimy-looking thing all around his body. 

"What is this?"

At first, he felt confused. However, since it wasn't causing him any harm, he chose to ignore it and scanned his surroundings looking for more details and information

"Where is this place?"

He was in a storeroom with several pods, some opened, others closed, and a few opening at the same time as his. He also saw some people standing around, a few looking confused while the rest looked more informed. 

"Who are they? "

"Who am I?"

As he suddenly realized that he had no memories, a wave of anxiety and confusion washed over him. He tried hard to recollect, but his mind drew a blank. Just as he was struggling to make sense of it all, he was interrupted by the approach of a man.

They were waiting for him to regain his composure before approaching him, as they had witnessed him waking up. This was done to reduce any form of fright or fear.

"Hey there, you're up! Come on, let's go. Follow me."

Despite his friendly tone, our main character scrutinized him closely, as he had seen him talk to the others. He felt as if this man was more informed. The man who was talking to him wore a brown jacket and brown leather pants and had brown hair.

'wait... how do I know what they are?'

"Didn't you hear what I said?" the man asked, wanting to make sure.

"Tell me, who are you and why should I follow you?"

a bit caught off guard by the question, he stumbled. Despite this, he managed to regain his composure and give a rather ambiguous response.

"My name is Derek. Follow me for the answers you seek."
