Albus Dumbledore POV

I was walking slowly through the corridors of Hogwarts. When I came in front of the gargoyle statue guarding the principal's office, I said the password and entered. Armando was waiting for me.

"You're early today, Albus. "There's still half an hour until the meeting."

The meeting he was talking about was a meeting held almost traditionally in the second week of the semester since the time of Phineas Nigellus Black, where professors discussed the students' situation. During the meeting, measures appropriate to the students' situations are discussed. In subsequent meetings, it is checked whether these measures worked. Meetings are generally repeated once a month.

"I thought there would be no harm in coming early."

We chatted for another half hour until other professors joined us.

 .

 .

 .

Armando was sitting at the head of the long rectangular table. I was sitting in the chair just to his right. The remaining professors lined up on either side of the table.

When the last professor sat at the table, Armando started the meeting.

"Since everyone is here, let the meeting begin. First of all, are there any new students having trouble getting used to school this year?"

Charms professor Robert Steffonson was the first to speak.

"One of my Ravenclaws seems to be having trouble adjusting to a muggleborn school. Maybe we can encourage him to make some friends from other houses. As Merlin is my witness, no matter how much I love my little ravens, their antisocial behavior is annoying sometimes."

It was nothing new for Ravenclaws to have trouble adjusting to school. House members are often so absorbed in academic pursuits that they may have trouble socializing. Therefore, the older students were not able to fully support the younger students.

Armando-"In this case, we will implement the usual action plan. We will pair the child with more friendly people in teamwork. Apart from this, are there others who had problems in the first years?

When none of the professors answered, they moved on to the next agenda item, namely the problems of the upper classes.

Veronica Raskalov- " You are probably aware. Ms. Warren is being seriously bullied."

Myrtle Warren, I didn't know what to do about this. The girl was being bullied excessively. As if that wasn't enough, nothing we do stops bullying. The expressions on the other professors' faces confirmed that they felt the same way I did.

Armando said with a sigh.

"We will do the same thing in the Warren situation as we have done in previous years. Bullies will be punished severely, and we will look out for Warren as much as we can. "Does anyone have any other questions?"

Silvanus Kettleburn "Bracken is causing problems in my classroom too. "At this rate, I'll have to ban him from my class completely."

I didn't like it when any student was completely banned from a course, so I felt I had to voice my opinion.

"Is such a drastic measure necessary? Can't the problem be solved with various punishments?

"The kid's nose is in the air and he won't follow the instructions I give him," Kettleburn said. "That kind of attitude is quite dangerous in my class. Just last week he thought it was a good idea to shout insults into a hippogriff's face."

I couldn't help but grimace. This doesn't end well at all.

"I hope no one took advantage of it."

"It's nothing serious," Kettleburn said. It just fell to the ground and shook a little. Thanks to Hagrid for that."

What does it have to do with Hagrid? There is something here that I don't know.

Armando "Horace if I remember correctly. Bracken, would it be a problem for Slytherin to be banned from class?"

Horace Slughorn "As far as I know, he is taking 4 elective courses. It shouldn't be a problem. At first I objected to him taking so many classes, but I think there is some kind of family pressure on this issue. "If he gets kicked out of class, his family might get into trouble."

Family pressure was a problem. Some pureblood families pressured their children to take classes related to their family's business.

Armando said, "As long as he doesn't cause any really big problems, let him stay the course. "If he doesn't get smarter with punishments, we will take him out of the lesson."

The conversations continued for a while. My mind was stuck on something Kettleburn said a while ago. Hagrid!! The boy lost his father last summer. This year he came to school almost as a completely different person. Hope it's fine.

While I was lost in thought, I came to my senses with Armando's voice.

Armando "Once the bad news is over, let's move on to the good news of this year."

Merrythought. "Rubeus Hagrid shows great skill in dueling. He has the potential to be a good ICW hit wizard in the future."

I couldn't help but frown. Being an LCW hit wizard was a very dangerous profession. They were the people who went after the most dangerous and notorious international black magicians and criminals. Unfortunately, these criminals were quite dangerous. That's why LCW hit wizards would either go into early compulsory retirement or go to an early grave. Also, while hit wizards were quite ruthless and determined people, Hagrid was one of the most loving and soft-hearted beings I have ever known. That's why I felt the need to express my thoughts.

"I don't think Hagrid has the personality required for such a career," Albus said. He is not as ruthless and determined as the LCW hit wizards. If he is skilled in dueling, he can do well as a professional duelist.

Merrythought "I am aware of Hagrid's personality. "The reason why I recommended him for this job instead of a professional duelist is that he will not be allowed to compete in any professional dueling competition due to the magic resistance he inherited from his giant parents."

Magic resistance, I wonder what scale of resistance it has. Before I could ask, Armando voiced my thoughts.

Armando "What scale of magic resistance are we talking about?"

Merrythought "The highest level I have ever seen in a half-giant. No spells cast by students in the same class affect him. Presumably for a spell to affect Hagrid he would have to be hit by 10 or more spells in a very short time."

I couldn't help but whistle. Meanwhile, Kettleburn joined the conversation.

Kettleburn "I agree with Dumbledore on Hagrid. It doesn't have that hit wizard fabric. Hagrid is also very skilled in magical zoology, and I know many people who would not hesitate to take him on as an apprentice in that field. "I think being a hit wizard should be his last choice."

It was nice to see someone agree with me. Just as he was about to speak again, Kettleburn continued.

Kettleburn: "I also think Hagrid is skilled in other areas of magic."

Armando "Did you notice something that makes you suspicious about this?"

"Of course, professors of relevant fields would know better, but I think I've seen him use wandless magic," Kettleburn said.

Wandless magic; Contrary to popular belief, it was not something that was only a sign of powerful wizards. With enough focus and hard work, anyone could do it. It's interesting to see Hagrid focus on any area of magic other than magical creatures, to say the least. As far as I remember, it has not shown such a trend in previous years.

"Hagrid was talented in the field of spells, but he never showed sufficient interest," Steffonson said. "Honestly, I've never heard of him showing any interest in anything other than magical creatures."

Mcgonagall "Same goes for transfiguration, talented but uninterested. At least that was the case until this year. "He has shown outstanding focus in class over the past two weeks."

Steffonson and McGonagall's words reminded me of my conversation with Hagrid over the summer. It seems that he was serious about his words at that time.

Armando "Kettleburn, were you able to clearly see the wandless spell Hagrid used?"

"I couldn't see it clearly, but I could tell it was a body strengthening type," Kettleburn said. "He used it to display greater physical strength than he normally did when he tried to stop the hippogriff that attacked Bracken during the lesson."

Body strengthening spells were extremely popular in the past, but with the rapid development of modern wand magic their use has diminished and almost disappeared. I wonder where Hagrid found such a spell? Wait a minute trying to stop the hippogriff?!! I couldn't resist and asked.

"When I was trying to stop the hippogriff. Why did Hagrid try to stop a hippogriff?"

Kettleburn at least had the decency to look embarrassed.

Kettleburn "There were 2 hippogriffs in the lesson. Bracken thought it wise to insult the hippogriff Hagrid was tending to while I tended to the other one. When I turned back, Hagrid was trying to stop the hippogriff by holding his collar. At this time, he showed strength far greater than that of a half-giant of his age."

"Maybe he's just a stronger half-giant than normal," Steffonson said. It doesn't have to be wandless magic."

Kettleburn: "No, I'm sure about that. I've known Hagrid since first grade. He often came to ask me questions about magical creatures. Over time, to encourage his interest, I let him help me with less dangerous x and xx rank magical creatures. Because these pursuits require intense physical strength, I am aware of their limitations. He demonstrated much greater physical strength than he normally possessed. "There was a difference too big to be explained by a simple adrenaline rush."

"In this case, we will do what we always do with talented students," Armando said. "We will support Hagrid as much as we can."

The meeting continued for a while without anything significant happening.

Rubeus Hagrid POV

I took a deep breath and tried to draw some energy from nature with voxnaturae, as Radagian told me. When I felt the nature energy begin to circulate in my body, I directed it with my own magical energy and cast the spell towards the pile of rocks I targeted with my wand.

iron ice

An ice blade from my staff unfortunately missed my target by about two meters and hit another rock.

After the ice blade hit the rock, it shattered and released the freezing magic inside, turning the rock into an ice cube.

I couldn't help but sigh with annoyance. Just then Radagian's voice was heard behind me.

"Not bad for a beginner."

I couldn't help but cast an angry look at the portrait.

"It doesn't seem that way to me. "I couldn't even hit the target."

"You are trying to practice the most difficult of the three areas of Druidic magic. "Give yourself some time, I understand why you're rushing, but some things can happen over time."

Druidic magic can basically be divided into three.

These were spells that were easily cast without actively using voxnaturae and nature energy, like the spells I found in the diary. They're basically things like Hogwarts freshman spells that you can use to turn on a light when you imagine a bright light and say lumos.

Second group. With Voxnaturae, they were spells cast using only nature energy.

The third group was the spells that used both magic energy and nature energy, like the ice sword before.

Of course, this is a very general classification; There are areas that are a mixture of all three, such as druidic rituals.

To give an example from the ice sword spell just now, the wizard-style ice spell that shapes the ice into a sword, sharpens and strengthens it, and the spell that freezes the rock after the sword is shattered is the druid ice spell made with nature energy.

Under ideal conditions, the ice sword would be strong and sharp enough to pierce the rock. The freezing spell also freezes the rock from the inside and shatters it. Unfortunately, I am far from ideal conditions.

As far as I learned from Radagian, druids' elemental spells usually manifest themselves in the form of natural disasters. For example, a water type spell can cause a huge tsunami. This style of wizard cannot shape water into a dragon and throw it at his enemies, this falls into the realm of elemental magic.

Druids use this subtle barrier of control to cast spells that use both energies, like the ice sword spell I just cast. The problem is that the two energies interfere with each other and have negative effects ranging from missing the target to weakening the spell. That's why extremely good energy control is needed to cast third style spells.

"You're trying to control the energy by force," Radagian said. This is more difficult than controlling a river. You only need to gently guide him. Then the energy will do what you want."

"Easy said"

"In the current situation, it might be better to rest for a while," Radagian said. You're too nervous. "Go do some gardening."

The garden was the place where I planted various magical and non-magical plant seeds that I could get from the provision room in the pocket dimension and the school garden. Faye loved it there and began spending most of her time there.

I lifted Radagian's portrait into the air with a wave of my wand and carried it with me, heading towards the garden.

Radagian "You're getting better at nonverbal magic."

A small smile couldn't help but appear on my face. My hard work was paying off, at least in this area.

While walking, I started talking to Radagian.

Rubeus "By the way, there is something on my mind."

 Radagian "Sor hadi."

Rubeus "No one came here after the Pocket Dimension was completed, right?"

Radagian "The pocket dimension was only completed after I died. That's why I couldn't let anyone in. Even if it had been completed before, I wouldn't bring anyone here if I wasn't sure of their loyalty to me."

Rubeus "Then who built the mansion?"

Radagian "What do you mean? Of course, I had it built."

Rubeus "What I'm saying is, if the pocket dimension wasn't fully formed until your death and no one came here, how did the mansion get here?"

"The mansion wasn't built in a pocket size," Radagian said. It was my home even before the pocket dimension. It was a house connected to the control center that you could shrink and take around with you if you wanted. Since the pocket dimension was connected to the same control center, it appeared in a random place within the pocket dimension as soon as the formation of the pocket dimension was completed. You can move the mansion wherever you want using the control sphere. You can even take it outside. Did this satisfy your curiosity?

While talking to Radagian, we finally came to the garden. It wasn't even half as good as I wanted. I mean, the number of seeds I was able to obtain from the room of requirement and the Hogwarts garden was pathetic. Unfortunately, I couldn't go into the forbidden forest to collect seeds or saplings.

Now I knew why Hogwarts was mentioned in books and movies as the safest place in magical Britain. As far as I understand, Hogwarts' ward system was divided into two: one for peacetime and the other for wartime. The first were the wards that were activated during peacetime and generally carried out the procedures expected from an ordinary school. The other was the wards that were activated in times of war and in case of an attack on Hogwarts, turning Hogwarts into a waterproof castle. The reason why wartime wards are normally closed is that excessive maintenance costs are required to keep these wards active. The more a ward is used, the quicker it wears out and the more maintenance it requires. Hogwarts' wartime wards were literally burning money, according to the book 'Hogwarts a history'. If Grindelwald had not started a war in Europe, the war wards would not have been activated. Of course, it wasn't written like that directly in the book, but you don't need to be a genius to guess it.

It is possible to see this in the final battle in the Harry Potter books. Even though the wards were probably sabotaged by Severus Snape, only a group of resistance fighters and students managed to fend off a whole army during the first attack. There are even incidents in Hogwarts history where war wards repelled an archwizard. The leyline line, three big and two small, passing right under Hogwarts was no joke. He could operate powerful wards that were impossible to operate in any other way.

While I was cursing my misfortune, Tom Riddle, and Gellert Grindelwald, I started taking care of the small garden.

Veronica Raskalov POV

I was walking back to my room after the Hogwarts professors' meeting when I was stopped in my tracks by a burst of pain. After suppressing a groan of pain, I started walking towards my room faster than before. I was lucky that there was no one nearby.

As soon as I entered my room, I immediately took out a potion from one of the drawers in my chest and drank it. As I drank the potion, a relaxing feeling of coolness radiated from my stomach, enveloping my body and then my mind. A moan of pleasure escaped my mouth at the unique feeling of sudden relief.

Tired, I threw myself into one of the armchairs in my room. Although the potion solved my problem for now, I knew it was temporary. Eventually the maledictus curse will overcome me and I will turn into an animal. To be honest, Hogwarts is my last chance. I have less than a year. The curse will surely overwhelm me within a year. That's why I did a big divination ritual last summer. The ritual told me that my salvation lay at Hogwarts. So I disguised myself and got in using one of the vacant professor positions. When I entered Hogwarts, I used a few more divination spells in search of my chance to escape the curse. At first, the results left me in despair. Until the school year started, the divination spells were finally starting to show results.

All divination spells pointed to the same thing. More precisely, the same person; 'Rubeus Hagrid', a half-giant boy who has just started third grade.

I can't imagine how a child could possibly have a solution to the maledictus curse, but that's all I can do for now. I hope there is a solution. I must contact the child as soon as possible and, if necessary, take the solution from him by force. I have to do this for her, if not for me.
