September 1, 1942

During breakfast, Minerva Mcgonagall distributed our course schedules to us. To be honest, young Mcgonagall was quite hot. She had already been at Hogwarts for several years and was teaching transfiguration lessons to all the lower classes. Professor Dumbledore took Owl and Newt classes, and sometimes taught lower grades. But Professor Mcgonagall was generally the one attending the classes of the lower grades, including us. While reviewing the syllabus, our first lesson was potions with Professor Slughorn. I had a hard time keeping myself from moaning for a moment. In the past, Hagrid was pretty bad at this lesson thanks to his clumsiness, but the worst part about it was that we were taking the lesson with the Slytherins. Blood purity theory was on the rise during this period. I am my main target because I am a hybrid. I didn't do much work in the field of potions during the summer due to lack of materials. Also, another thing I noticed this year was the decrease in lesson hours. In the past, we had approximately 3 hours of lessons per week in every subject, even if it varied from subject to subject. But the longest lesson this year was potions, which was 2 hours, which made sense considering the amount of time it takes to prepare a potion. I think starting from this year, the professors wanted us to spend more time on individual studies. Potions class would start in an hour. After slowly finishing my breakfast, I left the large hall to go to class. I put all my books in the pocket size that I turned into a bag the day before. That's why I headed straight to the potions classroom before climbing the Gryffindor tower again. Unlike Snape, Professor Slughorn did not give his lessons in the dungeons, but in a more airy classroom on the 3rd floor. When I came to the classroom, I saw that no one had arrived before me, so I chose a seat in the back row and sat down. While I was examining the potions book I took out of my bag, the classroom was slowly filling up. The class was almost completely full. But still no one sat next to me. This didn't affect me much, having an adult mentality, but in the past Hagrid had been quite upset by this exclusion as a little boy. A few minutes later, Professor Slughorn entered the classroom through the door behind the staff desk. As soon as the professor entered, all conversations immediately stopped. No matter what Slughorn was called in the books, he knew how to teach and keep the class under control. After taking attendance, he continued to look around the classroom for a while. Then he cleared his throat and started speaking.

"First of all, welcome to a new year at Hogwarts. Now, as you all noticed, our class hours have decreased considerably this year. There are several reasons for this, but the most important reason is that students now need to start doing their own studies. Therefore, if you want to make a potion on your own, you can send me a written application and prepare your potion in the classes prepared for this. "Does anyone have any questions about this?" Frankly, in the books and movies, there was no mention of renting classrooms for their own use. Although there were so many differences now that I didn't care much. Slughorn continued speaking when there were no questions from the class. Meanwhile, he was wandering around the classroom.

"If Hogwarts were divided into 3 levels. These are 1-2 respectively. grades 3-5. grades 6-7. There are classes. This is especially evident in Potions class. Over the past two years we have focused on how to prepare potion ingredients and simply follow the instructions in the books. Things are changing drastically this year. Now you will try to change the potion formulas in the way that best suits you. "You have to spend long periods of time learning and perfecting the necessary experimental processes." As Slughorn spoke, a Slytherin student from the front row raised his hand.

"Yes, Miss Parkinson, what was your question?"

Parkinson was the typical definition of today's thoroughbred. Arrogant, arrogant, arrogant, and a firm believer in purebred theory.

Parkinson began to speak arrogantly and arrogantly. "Why do we have to change potion formulas if the potion formulas are already in the books and following them has been enough so far?"

Slughorn began speaking with a small smile on his face.

"Everyone's magic power is different, basically, no two people's magic power is ever the same. Although potions are one of the areas that use magic power least actively, your magic still comes into contact with potions. Even in advanced potions, it is necessary to actively use your magic power. This leads to the following result. To prepare the best potion, different formulas are required for everyone. For some of you, boiling for ten minutes is enough, for some of you, this may be fifteen minutes. The formulas in potions books are as generalized as possible, but no matter what, you cannot prepare an extraordinary potion with these formulas. I recommend that you lower all the grades you have received from potions you have prepared at school in the past by one degree. "Does anyone have any other questions?"

This time it was Kane, a muggle-born gryffindor, to raise his hand and ask a question. He was a tall, polite boy, and as far as I remember, he was pretty good at potions.

Slughorn saw Kane raise his hand and spoke.

"Yes Mr. Kane, what is your question?"

"Professor, I have heard that arithmancy is very important for creating new spells and potions. "I wonder if it will be mandatory to take arithmancy in the future?"

"You don't need this to just change the potions to suit you, but if I may offer some advice. Although not required, an arithmancy OWL of at least 'acceptable' level will be very useful to get NEWT level potions. Also, for apprenticeships, almost no one accepts candidates without an arithmancy NEWT. "If you are planning to do an apprenticeship in any field, I recommend that you immediately contact your house heads and add the arithmancy course to your curriculum." Slughorn studied the class for a moment and when he saw that no one had any questions, he continued speaking. "Since no one has any questions, you will first prepare a wiggenweld potion to see your progress in potions lessons over the past two years. You can get the ingredients from the cupboards." As soon as Slughorn finished speaking, the entire class flocked to the supply cabinets. Starting from the second grade, the supply cabinets contained not only quality materials, but also rotten and poor quality materials. Apparently Slughorn thinks that a good potions master should be able to distinguish between good and bad ingredients. Although there are enough quality ingredients for everyone, the wiggenweld potion was one of the longest and most complex potions we have ever made. If we spent too much time searching for the ingredients, we wouldn't be able to finish the potion in time. All these situations led to this stampede scene that took place right before my eyes. At times like these, I was thankful that I was half-giant. After taking a deep breath, I started walking towards the crowd, and right there in the classroom, a miracle happened. Just like Moses parting the red sea, the students in the class literally started crushing each other to get out of my way. When I first approached the supply cabinets, I immediately felt the difference between last years and this year. Voxnaturae was at work. Apparently I could sense which ingredients were not fully ripe or were too old. Voxnaturae was certainly extremely versatile. It provided an upgrade in basically every area associated with nature. While I was thinking about how wonderful Voxnaturae was, I gathered the potion ingredients and went to my desk. Unlike the previous two years, this year everyone had their own individual cauldrons. After finding the recipe for the Wiggenweld potion in the book, I poured the amount of pure water into the cauldron and started following the instructions.

Add salamander blood until the potion turns red.

It took 8 drops of salamander blood to turn the potion red, but just as I was about to stop adding blood, I had a strange feeling as if I was doing something wrong. After briefly considering what to do, I decided to follow my instincts. If I screw up, it'll be just another minor dent in my list of glorious past failures, but if all goes well, I'll probably discover another voxnaturae-derived talent and have all the benefits of being a potions genius. After making the decision, I added 2 more drops very carefully and as soon as the second drop fell into the boiler, that strange feeling disappeared and I moved on to the second stage.

2.Stir until the potion turns orange.

In this step, the book also suggested that we stir clockwise. Once again, I followed my instincts and stirred counterclockwise. Once the potion turned orange, I moved on to the next step.

3.Add more salamander blood until the potion turns yellow.

This time I did exactly as told without any changes.

4.Stir until the potion turns green.

I stirred it counterclockwise again.

5.Add more salamander blood until the potion turns turquoise.

I followed what was written in the book without any differences.

6.Heat until it turns indigo color.

7.Add more salamander blood until the potion turns pink.

8.Heat the potion until it turns red.

 9.Add five lionfish spines.

I added six spines instead of five.

10.Heat the potion until it turns yellow.

 11.Add five more lionfish spines.

This time I added four full thorns and one half thorn.

12.Add flobberworm mucus until the potion turns purple.

 13.Stir until it turns red.

This time, unlike the previous ones, I mixed it counterclockwise three times and clockwise twice.

14.This time add more flobberworm mucus until it turns orange.

 15.Stir until it turns yellow.

Add honey water until it turns turquoise color.

17.Add a few more drops of boom fruit juice.

I only added two drops. I hope I don't screw things up, so far I've almost done the exact opposite of what the book says when increasing and decreasing some ingredients in seemingly completely irrational ways.

18.Stir the potion again and let it boil for thirty minutes.

I boiled it for thirty-five minutes.

19.Remove the potion from the stove and let it cool.

20.When it cools down, it becomes ready for consumption.

After the potion cooled, I bottled it and headed to Slughorn. Even though I was one of the first people to get the potion ingredients from the cupboard, they were delivering their potions before me because some of the steps were longer than those in the book. As far as I can tell, unlike previous years, there have been no outstanding grades so far. While the best ones exceed expectations. On average, scores ranged from 'acceptable' to 'poor'. In fact, our grades had dropped almost 1 full degree. When it was my turn, I presented my potion to the professor. While he glanced at it at first, he suddenly became more attentive and began to examine the potion in more detail. When he finished his review, he started talking with a big smile.

"An extraordinary potion. 10 points to Gryffindor. "It seems we can expect a very different performance from you this year, Mr Hagrid, than the last two years."

"Thank you, professor."

I took my seat, thanking Voxnaturae and the professor for not questioning my sudden development. I didn't have a chance to talk to Radagian about Voxnaturae's coverage yesterday. I need to know what you can do so you don't get caught off guard like this next time. After class ended, I started wandering around the school looking for a place where I could sneak into the pocket dimension. So much happened yesterday that I didn't really talk to Radagian. Finally, I found a deserted and empty classroom. A classroom that hasn't been used in so long that even the house elves haven't bothered to clean it. As soon as I closed the classroom door behind me, I immediately entered the pocket dimension. I found myself in the hall of Radagian's mansion. Although it was quite large, it was not one of the large halls built to be used for invitations usually found in such mansions, but rather it seemed to be built to spend time with the family. A very large balcony was also added to the living room. The pocket dimension would definitely be a legendary sight when it became green and teeming with creatures. Radagian's portrait was waiting for me where I left it yesterday.

"Finally you bothered to remember this old man, kid."

"I'm sorry, old man. I had classes in the morning so I couldn't come. "I even wanted to ask you a few questions about the lesson and the subject."

"What's the problem?"

"Last summer voxnaturae suddenly became stronger. That's why I don't know all his abilities yet. I noticed something in potions class today that I hadn't noticed before. Besides, I could easily understand the quality of the potion ingredients without detailed examination. And while I was preparing the potion, it felt like a mysterious feeling was telling me what to do and what not to do. When I followed this feeling, I made a better potion than I had ever made before. "Was it voxnaturae that did this or was it something completely different?"

"Voxnaturae generally does not change unless you do something to help nature or unless the body, soul-mind and magical energy, also known as the holy trinity, become stronger or vice versa. For now, let's see this as a lucky event. Maybe we'll learn something about this in the future. "As for potion ingredients and potion making, yes, that was voxnaturae's job."

"But what are its exact limits? "I won't have a chance to hesitate and think about what to do every time Voxnaturae tries to help me."

"Basically anything associated with voxnaturae nature will also help you. To give an example of potions, healing potions or potions aimed at treating a specific disease in a plant will help you, but potions such as luck potions will not help you. Explaining exactly in which areas Voxnaturae will help you is not a trivial task. Nature encompasses more than you think. The only suggestion I can give is to follow your instincts because voxnaturae will do nothing to harm you."

"But how can I be sure of this?"

"Voxnaturae is the link between humans and nature. It can become weaker and stronger depending on the user's actions, but it never harms the user. Even if what you do will harm nature, it will warn you the most. He will never directly harm you or manipulate you into choosing a choice that will harm you. It always works to your advantage."

"I understand."

"You do not need to worry. Over time, you will understand this bond better. Also, although voxnaturae is useful, it is very general. This greatly limits its effect in a single area, after all, magic is balanced."

When I heard this, I involuntarily frowned. Voxnaturae seemed like the best talent I've ever heard of. Whether it was the Harry Potter books or the research I did after being reborn in this world, voxnaturae was one of the best talents. The fact that there were abilities more advanced than his was once again a sign that this world was much bigger than I knew. I decided to ask Radagian for some information on these abilities.

"So, none of the abilities I've read about in books seem equivalent to voxnaturae."

Radagian began speaking with an arrogant grin on his face.

"If you think so, truly powerful abilities are not widely available to the public. To give an example from our previous conversation, the potionist's touch skill is literally the freakiest skill in the field of potions. "I'd believe it if you told me they could make an elixir of life out of the shit these guys fuck up."

In the face of this obvious nonsense, there is only one thing I can say.

"Exaggeration."

"Keep fooling yourself. While potions are the least likely use of magical energy, they can do some things that wand magic can never do. The luck potion is the simplest example of this. Those with the potionist's touch are especially blessed in this area. They can make impossible potions for other people, such as potions that strengthen one's magical energy."

"I have never heard of potions that strengthen one's magical energy."

"Have you started learning how to customize potions?"

"Yes, we will start this year"

"Okay, so you know that potions' formulas need to be personalized for them to work best due to differences in magical energy."

Slowly the penny dropped and I began to understand.

"What you mean is that only those with the potionist's touch can make such potions. "

Radagian continued talking with a small grin.

"Exactly, and even more so, it takes months or even years of arithmetic calculations and experiments for a potion master to create a new potion. But those who have the touch of a potion maker can make potions with the effect they want in a very short time."

"It feels like cheating."

"Exactly, considering these abilities, the help voxnaturae provides in the field of potions is insignificant."

After stopping and thinking for a while, he continued speaking.

"Not to mention some abilities like Parseltongue."

"What do you mean, doesn't parseltongue only allow you to talk to snakes?"

"There's more to it than that. Parseltongue allows one to access a very powerful form of magic in the realm of healing and the dark arts. When I visited India in the past, the healing spells and curses cast by the parseltongue-capable tribes there were beyond imagination. "There are also freaks like Merlin, who have no apparent special abilities but are above archmage level."

I knew Merlin was extremely powerful. There was nothing surprising about this. The man's name was still spoken of in an almost godlike way in the magical world, even though it had been 1000 years since his estimated death.

"Didn't Merlin really have any special abilities?"

"No, there wasn't, but that didn't stop him from being invincible. One Once He fought 10 archmage level enemies and their subordinates at the same time."

I excitedly interrupted him.

"So who won?"

"Of course, Merlin. Only then were they sure that he had surpassed the archmage level."

After thinking for a while, he continued speaking.

"Not only that, but even though his specialty was talismans and divination, he created some rare magic metals such as mithril, which no one else in history had achieved."

I couldn't help but whistle. The man was a complete genius. Genius, such a person cannot be defined as anything less. Historical sources stated that he lived only 100 to 150 years. I think this was ridiculous because there was no record of how he died. It was also known that magically more powerful wizards lived longer. If Merlin was so powerful that no one could resist him, how did he survive for such a short time? This was so pointless. After a moment's hesitation, I decided to ask Radagian. I didn't want to seem like an ignorant jerk, but now that we talked about this issue, I was quite curious.

"If Merlin was so strong, how did he die? History books say he died between the ages of 100 and 150."

For a moment, I thought he wouldn't answer when he sighed in distress. From what I understood from our conversation yesterday, I knew that he was not a patient man and I thought I had tested his patience enough today.

"How did they know that Merlin was dead? I don't know where they came up with this nonsense since yesterday. In my time there were multiple theories about what happened to him. The theory that he was dead was the least believed theory. Especially at that time he met Merlin. It was a theory that was hard to believe since a few old freaks were still around. The most popular theory was that he had left this world."

Now I was even more confused.

"Abandon the world?"

"Son, there is more than one planet in this universe, and even more than one dimension and universe. "The most popular theory was that Merlin left this planet to wander other dimensions and universes."

Wow, if Radagian was right, this confirmed the multiverse theory. Maybe it even meant that I had a chance to return to his old universe. This topic was definitely worth investigating. When Radagian closed his eyes and began to sleep, I realized that we had come to the end of our question-answer session today. After doing a tempus, I realized that there was less than half an hour until the history of magic class started. And as if that wasn't enough, I also missed lunch. Besides, just like Radagian taught me yesterday, I explored the area around where I entered the pocket dimension. When I saw that there was no one in the classroom where I entered the pocket dimension, I immediately left the pocket dimension and moved towards the history of magic classroom. When I arrived at the classroom, there were already a few Gryffindors and Ravenclaws in the classroom. The back rows were already taken, so I went to one of the middle rows and sat down. After about 10 minutes, the class filled up. Almost at the same time, professor Binns entered the classroom. Without even taking attendance, he started talking about the contributions of the medieval witch hunts to the development of flying broomsticks, in the same boring voice. At first, I tried to pass the time by playing with Faye. I really tried, but after 15 minutes both Faye and I were already asleep. If the guy wasn't actually a ghost, I would have told the whole class that he cast a sleeping spell. After a while, I woke up due to the sounds of desks moving in the classroom. When I saw that the lesson was over, I headed towards the large hall to have dinner. While I was sitting at the Gryffindor table eating, I was also dealing with Faye. The little man had fallen asleep in potions class. While he was just waking up in the history of magic class, he was hit by Professor Binns' sleeping spell. Now, I wanted to tire him out a little before going to the library so that he wouldn't cause any trouble there.

Rubeus discovered that Professor Binns could cast a sleeping spell. As for why Rubeus was so paranoid about voxnaturae, he slept normally one night and woke up to find himself in the body of a book character. As an avid fantasy fiction reader, Lovecraft is aware that he is afraid of being the toy of a divine being.
