Right before pulling the trigger, Andrew controlled his mech into that posture again.
That posture that let him wield both guns of his mech at the same time.
With his Automatic Shotgun and the Automatic Rifle both pointing at the same spot of the enemy Heavy Mech, he pulled the trigger at the same time that the Heavy Mech also pulled the trigger.
BAM!
KABOOM!
Andrew felt a great turbulence that rocked his connection with his mech.
For a moment, he felt like his mech was just blown to smithereens.

The Heavy Mech's salvo hit the left part of the Rifleman Mech's torso, blowing it off as it dealt significant damage to the Rifleman Mech.
The Heavy Mech did not survive this unscathed though.
