Eisley smirked. "Wasn't it the monster you wanted to snatch, what went wrong, Miss James?"
They glared at each other, and Eisley smiled. "You can leave, Cecily," Eisley sighed. Cecily jumped to her feet, about you leave. "Take your flowers with you."
Cecily hesitated for a moment, locking eyes with Magnus, before swiftly snatching the bouquet from Grace and making a hasty exit from the room.
As she left, Magnus and Morgan both inclined their heads in a brief, respectful nod before following after Cecily.
The room descended into a chilling silence, only the rhythmic sound of Eisley's munching as she savoured each bite of her crispy, golden potato chips.
Aurora got up, "Wow," she exhaled in awe. "Did you see that, Robina? Very calm, very demure."
"Also, very elegant. What? Did she try to steal your husband? You mean Irwin?"
