Chereads / Heart Keeper / Chapter 11 - Capturing Her Beauty

Chapter 11 - Capturing Her Beauty

"Aren't you supposed to say these dramatic lines?"

Damien uttered laughing loudly at his own saying that made Riana snap back from her thoughts.

"What?"

Riana asked in her surprised tone what is wrong with her nephew one moment he is damn serious talking about unworldly things another moment he is laughing like a maniac. She was wondering why is he laughing after saying something like this. She hesitated a bit then put her one palm on his forehead, checking his temperature if he was ok or not!

"Ahh… Binnie what are you doing." Damien holds her hand stopping her movement on him.

"Do you know anything about the accident? Right, you are the one who actually told me about it in the first place."

She questioned in return he just smiled at her. Riana was being impatient wanting to know what is hiding behind his demonic smile.

"I said that casually trying to be a little mysterious." He stated with an inhuman grin on his face making Riana scowl on his comment.

"Damien day by day you are turning into a psychopath, I am telling you to have a check-up on your health. Don't worry I will not charge your appointment costs."

Damien laughed seeing Binnie's concern for him. He starts the engine drives a little at a very slow pace and parks his car right in front of Enola's room. Riana jogged up a bit and looked in his direction asking him..

"Why did you stop the car here Damien?"

She looked in the direction where he was looking only to find out her nephew was busy staring at her room, Enola's room. She was getting messed up second after second witnessing his behavior and at this point, she was caught up in his irrational act. She was with him behaving like his crime partner but actually, she wasn't. She sighed relaxing on the seat silently observing what he was trying to do.

"Dami I am fucking so tired, please do the honor and take me hom…."

She stopped noticing the sudden changes forming in Damien's face, as she glanced toward him, only to find Enola perched by her window, legs folded to her chest. Her lustrous, ebony locks cascaded down her back, swaying gently in the breeze's caress. A chuckle escaped her lips as she realized where her nephew had lost, witnessing a side of him she had never seen before.

He was looking at her like he just found a new hobby. He was consuming her sight with his deep brown eyes. His time stopped around him at this very moment if someone stabbed him right before his eyes he would let them do it. Those hues of his sparkling, a messed up combination with his personality. He was hypnotized by her beauty but the confusion is whether he was being trapped in her beauty or he was trying to capture her beauty.

"You are practically eating her with your eyes Dami." She teased in her playful tone.

"It's her fault for being so tempting even amidst her deep pain, or perhaps my mind has lost it or may.....be it's the weather, casting its foggy spell of confusion ."

Shocked she was beyond shocked hearing him she was out of words to react to anything. He was nowhere in the state to match her philosophy. She gave up on trying any stunt on him anymore and just sat there letting him devour the sight he was possessed right now.

"Hema, don't say anything about what happened this evening, not to Mom or to Dad, even though they are never going to care for it still don't let them know."

Hema nodded quietly and placed her food on her desk. She realized she had been sitting there for almost an hour. The wind outside was sudden, and she knew she could catch a cold in this weather. But she didn't say anything to Enola, knowing she wasn't in the right state of mind to understand her worry. Instead, she picked up a comb and approached Enola. Carefully and gently, she began to comb Enola's hair, which surprised her at first, but she soon calmed down. Enola closed her eyes, enjoying the warmth as Hema combed her hair and gently massaged her scalp to relieve some tension.

"Hema I am so ill-fated."

"You are not Eny."

"Before I knew about my illness, I was happy with the fact that at least physically, I was okay, regardless of how messed up my mental state was."

" It is just a mental illness Eny, you will be fine trust me."

Enola's throat was hurting from holding her tears but she refused to cry over everything even in this way she is just hurting herself.

"Listen my little fairy, we all have our own difficulties, no one is perfectly healed in this messed-up world. We play a main role in our own story, and to win there are numerous chapters we have to unfold, we have to battle against it, and we have to shed our blood sweat, and tears. Otherwise, you won't understand the true meaning of happiness.

Enola heard each and every word a silent tear finally broke its barrier and flowed down her cheeks. She knows all of this she was just tired of having so many chapters filled with only pain. She hummed in response both of them knew the reality and they had done their part of the job but never enough to ease her pain.

"It's very cold outside Eny, just get down from there and eat something. I am preparing your bed ok."

Enola nodded looking upon the bright dark sky, filled with stars and sparkles of them. How pretty that sight is. She wishes to go there and make herself vanish from this corrupt society. She forced a lip-tight smile to show strong but with whom she was fighting, herself?

She sighed then looked straight suddenly that pillar held her attention. She fixed her gaze at that not knowing why just stared at that for a long time. She got lost in her thoughts when suddenly she remembered what happened today in her university. Her mind got hazy remembering him. How he was too tempting to handle. The eyes hold the power to demolish her existence. The way he looked at her, his silence everything was turning her into a mess, but why? She feels a sudden abruptness, a slight rush in her chest. She placed her hand on her left chest her heart was beating faster. She was perplexed unable to figure out what was happening with her. How just thinking of him can relax all her pain.

She was almost on the verge of forgetting everything happened to her. But she refused to accept the fact that already he was possessing her mind insanely. It was turning her restless but was craving for it. She shakes her head washing off her demented thoughts. She touched her cheeks and it was burning Enola frowned at her madness. She stood up from her place and inhaled a deep breath to calm herself down. Finally shutting the window of her room.

Where a pair of eyes was gaping at her madly, completely forgot how to breathe. He was looking at her like it was his favorite sight to see. He saw her closing the window of her room blocking the view of him. The maze of his eyes suddenly got cut off. How much he was desperate to barge into her room but only if he could. He sighed touched the steering wheel of his car then looked at his Binnie.

She was smiling more like a teasing smile was playing on her lips. Damien ignored her completely and drove off from there. He again looked for her window through his side mirror then again fixed his eyes on the road.

"Keep her on your update but don't force her to pressurize on her mind more."

Damien was driving his car while speaking to his Binnie. Riana silently heard what he said. unable to resist her curiosity but knowing she wouldn't get answers from him. His departure from the colony seemed to trigger a shift in his demeanor, leading her to ponder why he seemed so desperate for her attention. This side of Damien was unfamiliar to her.

Questions swirled in her mind about their relationship and how he knew about her accident, yet she chose to remain composed and refrain from asking him anything further as she knew he never going to answer.

Damien halts his car right before his home. He parked the car and got him out of the car leaving Riana alone there. Riana flared her nostrils seeing his rude side.

Inside, the household staff greeted her warmly as she observed Damien's commanding presence. Without a word, he tossed his coat to a staff member and ascended the stairs to his room. Meanwhile, Riana, feeling resigned, handed her coat to another staff member.

"Send a black coffee to his room"

she instructed, knowing he would need it.The staff nodded at her command which made Riana leave from there and go for her room too.
