Li Huaifa walked out from the inner room with a scowl on her face and left the clinic quickly without turning back. Only after everyone had left did Yingtao realize what happened and called out as she ran out the door, "Hey, you haven't paid yet!"
"No need!"
Yingtao ran to the doorway and stopped upon hearing Zhao Yang's words, turning back to ask, "No need?"
Zhao Yang didn't answer directly but instead asked, "Where is Li Huaifa's man? Hasn't he been in the village these past few days?"
"Her man is a tiler. The county has been building a lot of houses these two years, and there's decorating work everywhere. Besides, the pay is getting better and better. Her man doesn't come home all year round; he's making a killing," Yingtao said.
"Oh," Zhao Yang nodded.
"Zhao Yang, that condition of hers, is it a tumor?" Zhang Xiuer asked softly.
"No, I've examined her, and it's not like the signs of a tumor, definitely just a simple lump," Zhao Yang said.
