In the evening, Wang Hao and Ye Ning had dumplings wrapped by Ma Yulan, pork with green onions, a familiar taste from before.
After dinner, Wang Hao listened to Ma Yulan's ramblings for a bit before he and Ye Ning went to his room.
Seeing Wang Hao's grave expression and distracted demeanor, Ye Ning's brows slightly furrowed, and she asked, "Brother Wang Hao, do you have something on your mind? Can you share it with Ningning?"
Wang Hao glanced at the hopeful look on Ye Ning's face and let out a sigh before simply narrating the sequence of events.
After hearing Wang Hao's recount, Ye Ning felt a chill, and a crystalline tear shimmered in her clear eyes as she said, "Brother Wang Hao, it's so dangerous. Do you really have to go?"
Wang Hao nodded and replied, "Yes, I must go."
Seeing Wang Hao's determination, Ye Ning said no more.
