His engagement to the Cheng Family sounded like a joke. He was engaged, indeed, and to the eldest daughter of the Cheng Family at that. Yet, he hadn't even attended the engagement ceremony, and his fiancée hadn't had the chance to lay eyes on him even once. He had sent her an engagement ring and then headed straight for Huaxia Country.
He didn't even care whether this Miss Cheng he had never met was tall or short, fat or slim, round or flat. All he needed to know was that she was from the Cheng Family, would bring a substantial dowry, studying at the University of Toronto, and that marrying her would make it very convenient for the Situ Family to break into the Canadian market. That was sufficient for him.
After all, this was just an engagement, not a marriage. Besides, if he never found the woman he loved most in his lifetime, marrying anyone would be just the same.
