Grand walls reached the sky in its height, with a seemingly endless monotony of snow covered bricks that culminated in a wrought iron gate. And within those gates were two guards.
I was almost completely sure that the two of them, garbed in leathers and clothes to give warmth, weren't the only ones here.
There had to be more for a city so vast and populous. But just as their bodies draped in clothes, so too did their backs hold knife and sword. Buckler and shield whose purpose was clear.
Our surroundings were filled with fields of withered grain and other such products. There were simple wooden huts that mimicked some olden age, completely abandoned.
With tools and sheds ripe for the taking. But none did.
"Curious…"
I shook my head and rolled down my hood, let my scarf reveal more of my face so to put on a friendly smile. Celeste did the same and soon after - another minute or two of haste - we made our way to those two guards.
