I felt a headache well up deep within my mind, people rushed around. All at the directions of my enigmatic leader. She, and her dignitary, her secretary. Had finally made their way to this village of mine.
And already it was a disaster. They had ordered the theft of items I had only seen on one other person… or pair of persons. She tried to justify it yet I couldn't say anything against her justifications.
She wasn't right. God she was so wrong. But she was my superior and so it would be ambitious of me to even say a word of defiance.
Which led me to now.
To right here and now between the chemist and the engineer. They held themselves aloft with a certain pride.
Deserved pride, but pride nonetheless.
They argued over the properties of some inane object and finally came to a conclusion after hours of work.
