Pei Yibai couldn't help but take a few extra glances at Song Weiyi, feeling that there was something different about her today.
"What are you looking at me for?" Song Weiyi's gaze had been wandering, and feeling Pei Yibai's fixed stare, she started to feel guilty and had to change the subject.
"You seem a bit excited today, are you hiding something from me?" Pei Yibai asked sincerely.
Although she tried her best to act as if everything was normal, a closer look gave away that her little secret wasn't very successful.
"What? You're overthinking it," Song Weiyi asserted, puffing out her chest in rebuttal.
"Is that so? Then I'll just assume I'm overthinking it," said Pei Yibai, as he walked into the room.
Behind him, Song Weiyi carefully wiped the cold sweat from her forehead, admitting to herself that she really wasn't cut out for lying; even this one sentence made her feel guilty.
However, her guilt was quickly replaced by the excitement of what was to come.
