The ankle of her right foot was rubbed raw, a large patch of skin abraded, red and swollen, with streaks of blood seeping out, looking somewhat frightening. Song Weiyi stared blankly at the injury, nearly kneeling down from the shock.
"Hey, are you okay? I told you to be careful." Gu Jincheng leapt down from the low platform and felt his heart skip a beat when he saw the girl on the ground, grimacing in pain while clutching her wound.
"Do I look okay to you?" Song Weiyi snapped back, somewhat angrily, at the man who had startled her for no apparent reason.
The burning pain in her foot, an entirely unprovoked misfortune, only fueled Song Weiyi's already flaring temper.
"Sorry, sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I just thought it was weird that you were hiding out here by yourself, so I came over to check," he apologized.
Song Weiyi straightened up, pointing her index finger at herself, "Weird? What's so weird about me? Why don't you say you're scary?"
