Chapter 9 - 9

"Oh." Izuku muttered, swallowing. "He won't-" "No, he wouldn't, Midoriya." "But how do you know, All Might?" The former pro looked Izuku in the eyes. "Its just a hunch. But I'll leave you to rest before Recovery Girl can smack me with her cane. Get some sleep, and hopefully, you can get back to classes soon. I need to help the others research." And All Might was gone, just like that.

Later, Izuku had more visitors. But only a few people were allowed in at a time. So, they came in duos. The first were Mineta and Kim Inari, who assured him he would be back to his normal self in no time, and who wished him a good day before they left. Next was Yayorozu and Asui. They asked ie he was feeling better, and then gave him a card and some candy for him to read and eat later. He said his thanks, trying to explain that they didn't have to bring him anythig, but they said they felt bad for what happened. So he let it slide. After them came Hanta and Mashirao. They also gave him a card, said he'd be up and back at it in no time, and left. Then it was Kirishima, Fumukage, Koda, Jiro, and the others until, finally, it was Todoroki and Uraraka again. "Oh, hey, guys! How was class?" Izuku asked, giving a bright smile. "Not bad. We did some more training today." "You should've seen his new move, Deku, it was amazing!" "I bet! Todoroki's quirk is very powerful and I think it's a blessing." "Please, it was nothing, Uraraka. And, in some ways, Midoriya, it is." "Anyway, we brought you some things, Deku." Uraraka cut in, her cheeks a bit flushed. "Oh-um-you didn't have to-the rest of our classmates left all this." He would've pointed, that was, if he could. But the two loomed at the small stack in the floor anyway, made of cards and candy, along with a few plushies, and some nice drawings he hadn't had a chance to look at. "Trust me, you'll love this." Uraraka told him, giving a small, nervous smile. She went to hand him a piece of paper, but then seemed to remember he couldn't move, and started apologizing profusely. "Er-its ok-you don't have to apologize, Uraraka!" Izuku told her, feeling like the moment had turned a bit awkward. "Right, right! Anyway, I'll, uh, read it to you."
