"The time is soon. And I will succeed. This boy is a bigger deal than he, and everybody around him, realizes." The figure said, sitting back in their chair. "You think so?" They looked up at the dark, bland ceiling. "This boy is a threat not just to us." "Was that your idea of an answer?" "Yes. Think about what I could mean by that." Silence filled the room. A blissful, comfortable silence. "Wait-you don't mean, surely-" "I do. Why do you think I'm after him?" "You said you wanted to confirm some suspicions. Not-" The figure turned to glare at the group of five cloaked and shadowed villains. "I know what I said. But I got to thinking. Why just try and confirm my suspicions? Once I have him in my grasp, I can do much more. And none will be the wiser." "How do you know no one will notice this boy's gone? He has close friends. Teachers who think of him as something more than a regular student." The figure smirked. "I was getting to that. Please, allow me to explain." The figure stood, pushed the chair under the desk, and faced the other group. "Once I have the boy in my grasp, I can copy his DNA, the way he acts, the way he thinks, make a perfect clone, and no one will see the difference." The room went silent for a minute. "That would work, that is, if you couldn't somehow copy his quirk." The figure snapped their head at the person to the far right. "I'm sorry? Do you think I haven't figured out how to do that?" They activated their quirk, and dashed across the room, then went to grip the villain's wrist. The villain dodged, but the figure got ahold of his neck instead, and pinned him to the wall. They stopped struggling. "You can paralyze anyone you touch." One of the others said. The figure ignored them. That wasn't all they could do. But the rest was to be used later. "Don't think I don't know what I'm doing. I've spent countless years preparing this plan. I've done my research." "Doesn't seem like it." The villains glowing, yellow eyes filled with fear. Maybe even terror. "You'll regret saying that." The figure brought a long, skinny needle from their pocket, and stabbed it in the villains left eye full force, not feeling any remorse or regret at his scream of pain. They then pulled the needle out, bringing the eye with it, and released their hold on the villain.
