My eyes fluttered open. I winced at the bright light that was shining on my face, my head throbbed from the pain causing a low yelp to escape my lips.
"My head," Ana scowled.
Then I remembered that I was bleeding profusely from my head some moments ago.
A figure appeared in my line of sight. I couldn't look up to see his face, my head was banging and the bright light was piercing my eyes as well.
The figure seemed huge as he covered me from the light but I could only see his torso, I tried to lift myself up but it dawned on me I was in chains, in silver chains which were making me even weaker.
I groaned, the weakness eating me up as I was worn out with fatigue.
"Why did you bring her?" The man asked. There seemed to be someone beside him.
"She asked about the cursed cup" the other man said and the voice sounded very familiar.
'Hitler'
"She's an Omega but she's too strong," he added.
"You can go now," the man told Hitler.
"My money" Hitler demanded.
"Greedy thief" I scoffed but they couldn't hear it , my voice had been sucked up with the pain and weakness I felt.
I heard the sound of coins, it seems they have closed the deal and I am the product for sale.
"Move the prisoners to the cell" the man said, getting back a roar of 'Yes sir'.
Then it dawned on me, I have become a prisoner again.
A set of huge werewolves came into the room unlocking me from the silver chain. I felt a little strength built in me but it wasn't enough to defeat these men as I let them carry me like a body bag into a ship that was ashore.
The wooden planks creaked as they walked, I vaguely saw the old cracked woods as I was upside down.
The sound of creaking doors could be heard as I was taken into a dark room, a dark part of the ship that seemed to have no sunlight at all.
I was taken into a cell but I wasn't chained, I laid on the cold floor, my eyes closed as I felt little strength filling me up.
I scanned the small cell with my eyes, propping my body up with the help of my hands while my feet remained on the floor.
There were green microorganisms growing on the wooden walls of the ship and fishing nets at a certain corner of the ship.
An hour passed and the ship began to move, plunging into the sea, shaking the cell and the lamps that hung on the wooden pillars of the ship.
'I think I'm gonna be seasick'
The crashing waves subsided as the ship moved smoothly through the waters. A guard was checking the prisoners in the cell every now and then.
" Ana," I called. My wolf had not said a word ever since we were locked in the silver chains. My head swirled as I touched the bandage that was used to seal the wound.
Ana growled, her voice low due to the pain.
"We are getting out of this alive," I assured her. I could feel her relax within me as she wagged her tail sluggishly.
I heard the opening of the lock, looking up to see the guard pass a plate of food and water.
I dragged myself to the plate and it was a plate of seaweed soup and water. I gulped.
"We need to eat Lily"
"To escape," she added. We need the strength to make a move.
I took the liquid substance and gulped it at once, not chewing the leaves. It tasted like Yuck. I downed the water as well, pushing the plates back to the door as I recoiled into the cell.
I looked out through the little sealed window of the cell and looked up at the sky and there was a half moon in the sky, light reflecting through it.
'Moon goddess' I thought.
'Help me'
I soon fell asleep on the hard cold floor. I was too exhausted.
The sound of horns woke me up. The sound was burning my ears as I closed them. I looked out of the cell window and I saw other ships lined up.
The entrance creaked open and the guards emerged again, opening the cells and pulling the prisoners out. I was carried like a body bag again.
We were kept in a certain room that was heavily guarded.
"Make sure no one leaves," a familiar voice said. It was the man from yesterday.
After what seemed like forever we were taking in massive vehicles and stacked like tuna heading for an unknown destination.
****
We came to an abrupt stop. In front of us stood a huge building, made of concrete walls, mahogany trees lined up on each side of the compound.
I have never seen such a beauty before. We were dragged towards the gate of the massive building. My eyes took in the massive building, its compound, the huge steel gates that had a jet black color and when the gates opened, we walked through the concrete pathway that led to the concrete building.
They diverted, taking us through a different route. Where is this place, where were they taking us to, I wanted to ask but the words were caught up in my throat when I noticed the amount of guards that followed us.
We are all werewolves but these people had put us under their spell and we couldn't do anything about it.
We were taken to a separate chamber that had mahogany wooden furniture everywhere. It was probably made from the trees.
I shut my eyes, whispering some silent words. I wanted to get out of this mess.
A voice rang" Welcome to Solstice Pack '' a man said with a grin.
"Who did we get to get another pack?" Ana asked.
"It was by sea," I replied.
I still couldn't believe that we were in an entirely different pack. My head hurt all of a sudden, finding it hard to absorb all these words.
Everyone began to mumble. "I'm not done yet," the man said.
'How could they kidnap us and take us to a different pack, this is trafficking'
I tried to say but I wouldn't dare. I didn't know how dangerous the wolves of this so-called pack were so I wouldn't risk my life.
"We are going to have a fighting contest now to know the stronger wolf among you"
The noise increased. I couldn't believe it, they wanted us to fight each other. I felt so weak, the silver chains drained all the strength I had, and I am just getting it back and now they want us to fight.
I never fought a fellow wolf for a contest only if they attacked me.
"Take them away," the man added. The guards took us, one of us tried to fight but his spine was snapped and he died at once.
We obliged. Following them like our lives depended on it which it did.
We were taken to a field, with no vegetation, just sand and rocks. My eyes scanned the lifeless place. It looked like a stadium and there were seats above us, coloured in dark paints. Werewolves were trooping in and taking each of the seats.
They were going to watch us fight one another, like some fucking show. I couldn't believe it, they would watch their fellow wolves shed each other's blood.
Was it how the Solstice Pack were, watching their people shed innocent blood, I wanted to see the Alpha of such a pack.
Speak of the devil.
They announced the arrival of the Alpha, a man in his late fifties like a small podium looking down at us.
He had chestnut coloured hair like mine or should I say Ariona's that seemed to be turning gray.
I couldn't see any other features as he was far from us.
They called his name "Old Alpha Cassio"
He sat gingerly on his seat that seemed to be made of mahogany wood.
'Were the entire furniture in this pack made of mahogany'
There was a loud 'bang' in the air, a gunshot.
I retraced my steps, falling back in case they shot at us.
"Let the contest begin" the man that had talked to us in the room.
There were loud cheers, the people roaring joyfully.
'They had turned it into a sport, for pleasure at the expense of our lives'
They dragged us into a cell. They left two werewolves on the field.
After what seemed like an hour, they were dragging the bodies of two wolves that were wounded all over.
I couldn't believe it, my eyes watered.
They took out another set of wolves and they were brought back in a pool of blood.
I could feel Ana whimpering. The sight was so horrible.
'Moon goddess, you've got to help me' I whispered.
Another round and I was pulled out to the field. My hands trembled. I didn't want to fight anyone and even if I could win. I didn't want to beat an innocent wolf.
