Nick stared at the black fruits on the table before picking one and putting it in his mouth.
Despite the explosion of sweetness in his mouth, his mood didn't lift ; it only made the voice in his head worsen.
Where is he?… He's gone again…
His palms started getting sweaty and his heart skipped a beat; he secretly used his eyes to scan the ballroom; it was only after he saw Bei Shang silently stuffing himself with food at the corner, did the anxious feeling disappear.
He looked around again and saw Iran and Mitch playing hand games; seeing his precious family is safe , he swallowed a gulp and picked up another fruit.
"Nothing… I just thought about wolf king, I saw him talking to Bei Shang "
"Did it make you uncomfortable?"
"If I had not gone over, he would have kidnapped him from me " His fists clenched "Why does everyone want to take him from me?"
Kate didn't say a word lowering her eyes.
Pain begets pain , he have to find the root of his obsession to let go of the pain in his heart.
"Autumn, why are you angry ?"
Nick chewing gradually stopped and he looked towards the end of the hall again; at that same moment, Bei Shang raised his head and their eyes met.
Slowly Bei Shang face turned cold and he tsked before ignoring him.
Nick had the urge to go across the room, grab his head and force him to look at him all day.
His tone was cold "Give him a nice dress ? He complains , Tease him ? He looks at me like I'm stupid , Smile at him ? He will frown , Do anything slightly wrong ? He would lash out"

Nick banged his fists on the table making demons in the nearby area flinch ; Bei shang seemed to have noticed ; his eyes were starting to look across the room like he was trying to avoid his stare.
" It's General Autumn "
Kate lips twitched "I'm sorry I asked, you seem pissed off"
"Do I look like I am angry ?" He let out a polite smile ; if not for the fist clenched on his side , Kate could see blood tickling out , she would be decieved into believing he's actually feeling good "I am perfectly calm okay?"
"…. Okay"
Kate stood up to survey the party. The demons that arrived were already socializing , trying to build connections with each other , even Uncle Summer was busy at a corner talking to a prince of the pheonix clan.
A pretty girl kept staring at her. At first, Kate thought that she was just staring out of curiosity but the gaze kept lingering longer and longer. At last she couldn't take it anymore and approached the girl.
"Hello "
The girl flushed and lowered her head " Queen Spring "
Kate felt her heart warming at the girl shyness ; she was probably a young demon.
"What's your name?"
The girl stiffened and stared blankly at her , her eyes were filled with disbelief " You don't know me ?"
Kate blinked ; was she supposed to know her?
Different emotions flashed through her face and her lips trembled "I know it's been 407 years but I never even forgot your face once ... not even once ..." Tears spilled down her face " You are so cruel ..."
"Excuse me I am so sorry to..."
Donia came inside the party to see this scene; Seeing a person that she cherishes crying and that damned b*tch was the cause ; her eyes saw red.
"I'll kill her !!!"
"Tribe leader wait!!!"
Broody tried to hold Donia but it was too late ; her aura spilled out and the form of a blazing dragon appeared behind her , she ran forward and landed a punch on Kate chest.
Kate wasn't expecting it ; She flew a distance before hitting the wall and spewing out blood.
"Queen Spring !!!"
Donia didn't wait for Kate to recover , she ran forward again and tried to hit her but this time Kate was ready.
She grabbed Donia fist tightly and then flung her against the wall like she was a piece of garment.
The sounds of crushed bones rang all over the hall.
She was about to do it again when she felt someone pull her by the arm.
"Let me go "
"Queen spring calm down!!!"
For the first time, Kate didn't listen to her General. Instead she turned around, grabbed him and flung him across the room.
Autumn was ready so he landed on his feet; at the same time, Donia had pulled herself out of the cracks and attacked Kate again.
Bei Shang sighting Broody could barely restrain his excitement; Broody too seeing everyone was distracted with separating the two rivals , tiptoed to his side.
The shock on his face was priceless.
"Wow you really changed a lot, You look so girly here " Broody touched his shoulder length hair gently "You didn't like your hair growing out either too ; what the hell happened within 2 months?"
"It's a long story" He grabbed Broody hand and started to walk quickly; his ankles were sore , giving him a slight limp " But you have to get me out of here first!!"
They were about to reach the door when Bei Shang suddenly felt a strong pull on his robe, almost making him fall to the ground.
The next thing was seeing Broody move from being on his side to being stuck in a nearby wall.
Warm breath touched his ear "Bei Shang…where are you going?"
A shiver went though his spine. He didn't even bother looking back, he knows that the look on Nick face will be monstrous.
"Oh … the silent treatment now? " Bei Shang felt warm hand move to his left knee; a string snapped in Bei Shang head.
"What's your obsession with -"
His face turned pale at the sight of Nick.
Nick eyes were brimming with purple electricity , His ears , fangs and claws were out, even his tails waved from behind.
Bei Shang looked around to call for help. Demons are still trying to control Donia and Kate fight and Broody was trying his best to come out of the wall.
Damn it ! Damn it !!
Nick seemed to be annoyed by his evasiveness and he pulled Bei Shang closer; Bei Shang struggled against him, making Nick even more forceful.
"Look at me !!! What does he have that I don't have?! Why are they all trying to take you away from me ?!!!"
"Nick storm park, calm the f*ck down!!!"
"You keep trying to leave me !!!" Red lines trailed down from his eyes and dropping to his clothes like tears "Stop trying to leave me!!!"
Bei Shang grabbed Nick's robe ; his voice was hoarse " What the f*ck am I owing you that you won't let me leave this damn place?! I didn't ask to be Mitch mom , just let me go !!!"
The air suddenly started vibrating, the fighting suddenly stopped and everyone looked towards them in alarm. Even Broody looked up alarmed.
Oh no …His aura is unstable!!!
Donia pushed Kate and tried to stop Nick but her body fell down mid way ; Her aura released and the pressure in the air doubled.
Weak demons immediately fainted , strong demons started expressing; Causing the pressure to mount higher and higher, Iran and Mitch couldn't take it anymore and they fainted.
Kate wanted to shout a ' calm down ' but instead blood poured out her mouth; She started cursing in her head .
Fuck !!! This is too strong, I might faint anytime!!!
Bei Shang and Nick were lost in their own world. Blood ran down the side of Bei Shang lips but he didn't back down from Nick's stare , Nick kept his gaze , his red tears running down like a broken tap; his face aggrieved.
"You owe me " He whispered and grabbed Bei Shang hand "I don't care if it's in the past , I don't care if it was reincarnations ago , you owe me and you will continue to owe me"
Bei Shang eyes started to lower and he fell limply into Nick's arm. Nick arms circled him before sitting on the ground. His voice was soft but firm.
"Sonovabitch, let me go , I will rather lie down on the floor "
"No"
"How did I get mixed up with you ?" Bei Shang closed his eyes before letting the abyss take him.
Nick grip was tight on the unconscious Bei Shang as if letting him go will make him go crazy.
"Bei Shang " He lowered his lips on Bei Shang forehead and closed his eyes, his sigh content.
The door was suddenly slammed open from the outside; a white clothed figure ran over to Nick at the speed of light and snatched Bei Shang from him.
Like a child whose favorite doll have been stolen, Nick let out a roar and ran after the person.
The inattention from Nick at the moment allowed Kate to break out. With a shout , she jumped on Nick and held him like a koola.
Nick grabbed her by the neck and flung her away; the look in his eyes was vicious as he looked for the intruder.
He sighted the intruder running outside ; immediately he followed.
As soon as he stepped outside, he felt a sharp stab on his back. He turned to grab the person but he only grabbed air.
His body started to feel weak , his limbs turned to noodles and his breathing became stagnant. He collapsed on the ground before looking up.
The white clothed figure looked just like him , just a bit older. His eyes were blue , his lips were pale and even his expression was pale like he was recovering from a terrible illness.
Kate ran outside as soon as the pressure was down ; her eyes widen at the man standing beside Nick.
This was the primordial Huli Jing, King of the Huli Jing clan who was given the punishment to sleep for 1000 years.
