The throne room was deathly silent. A lady sat down on a chair stroking a black cat ; her short black hair fell softly , her eyes were still because there was no pupils, her face was frozen since she wasn't smiling, her fingers were gentle yet her aura wasn't ;
She looked beautiful but in a dark way.
"Tribe leader , the guards are here to see you with the prisoner"
"Let them in "
A man was being dragged by two guards , He would have preferred to walk if not that his legs were broken to a mess.
She raised an eyebrow at the Man.
"Joohun you know what you did right?"
The man was in a daze at first but hearing her voice seemed to awaken a fear in him. He made a sound that bordered between a groan and a moan ; and started to struggle with the guards.
She didn't seem to be touched by the pitiful display, instead she waited for the man to stop before asking again , this time more gently.
"You know what you did right?"
"Argggggh gugugu "
"Speak properly joohun"
The guards felt a shiver go through their spine ; She had been the one to rip out his tongue , yet she's asking him to speak properly.
"Argggggh argggggh gugugu gugugu "
Joohun sounded like he was begging, he raised his head up to look at her but all he saw was darkness; only then did he remember that she had also plucked out his eyes.
Blood ran down his face in form of tears.
"How pitiful ; I was planning to play with you some more but I suddenly feel generous today , why don't I give you death "
"Gugugu gugugu!!!!" Please be merciful!!!
"I am being merciful" She looked at the cat " Are you hungry?"
The cat looked at the man with greed in it's eyes before bobbing it's head.
She threw the cat in the air " Dinner is ready"
There was a bright light and a black panther landed gingerly on the ground ; next there was the sound of ripping flesh before inhumane screams echoed around the palace.
He was being eaten alive.
A maid passing with her child shuddered in fear before putting her palms over her equally frightened child's ear and quickening her pace , in the underground prison, both the warden guards and the prisoners curled up together in a corner, the cooks and butlers sat down together their head lowered as if hoping that they don't get found out for crying.
There was a lesson to be learned from his mistake, No one talks about the tribe leader at her back.
Bang ! The door opened with a kick and everyone including Donia looked at the intruder.
Broody blinked before looking at the barely alive man on the ground then looking up again.
"Oh that's why he said I shouldn't come in... " He spread his arms in a playful way " Ta-da "
Donia didn't look amused " What took you so long?"
"Excuse me Lily hehehe you still haven't stop eating people alive how barbaric hehehe " He stepped aside the demon cat and it's meal "I got the message late"
"If you weren't my brother ;I would have killed you for your insolence"
"If you didn't love me , you would have killed me either way " He skipped to the chair and wiggle his butt in his sister face ; he smiled when she rolled her eyes before patting his butt " I am so glad I am not your enemy"
"Shut up and sit so I can show you affection"
He plopped down on his sister laps and allowed her to wrap her arms around him ; although her face was still frozen , the aura surrounding her have turned gentle almost motherly.
The guards sigh inwardly ; the prisoners better start singing hallelujah , they won't receive torture for at least a few years.
"It's been 305years " She grabbed his cheeks and pinched it till his eyes watered " You sure spent some time learning about how to be a better demon ; did you kill people?"
"Nope I killed demons"
"Fair enough " She glared at the guards staring " What? You want me to pluck your eyes out ? Go and tell the cooks to make something"
"Y-Y-Y Yes ma'am"
Broody waited till the guards were gone before staring back at her " Big sister you have to learn to be a little nice"
"Be careful or I'll give you as appetizer to Lily"
Broody continued in spite of the threat " You are known as a cruel person that's why she's afraid of you " He patted his sister hair when she lowered her head " You still haven't had the courage to talk to her ?"
"You know what happened the last time I even greeted her " She pouted ; a rare expression on her face " She ran like I was going to eat her up in one bite"
"Well you do want to eat her up in a way ..."
"Vulgar " She patted his butt a few more times before shooing him " Go and freshen up , Bai zu is coming over "
Broody couldn't help but roll his eyes at the name " Him ? You still move around with that guy ?"
"Politics , what else did you expect?"
"Just be careful with him , he gives me the creeps"
"Just get going, Khalid"
" Before I leave though… Tribe leader, can I borrow your power?"
" For what?"
"Not like your actual power but your potions and quite a lot of your political power; someone I'm close to was kidnapped by the Huli Jing tribe "
Donia pupils narrowed into slits "I'll make sure they don't get away with it … what do you want? Total annihilation?!"
"I don't like genocides… let's beat the general to death instead "
"Should I frame him then?"
"Framing doesn't work on them …but we can destroy their commercial sector "
The both of them smiled in satisfaction before Donia shooed him away.
"Bai zu is coming today, hurry up "
True to her words , not long after broody left , Bai zu arrived.
Bai zu could be described as beautiful. He had long straight black hair that reached his waist, his pheonix eyes were painted with red eye shadow giving him a coy look , his lips were painted red and he put on red silk garments like that of a bride.
Despite his beautiful appearance ; he was known to be quite cunning. He could smile at a friend while stabbing them at the back but all in all , he was still reverend all over the realm for being a smart man and demons often asked his counsel for political matters.
He spread open his signature fan and covered half his face with it ; his voice was soft almost melodious " Tribe leader..."

"So I heard that Queen Spring is back , She came back yesterday and even caused a ruckus today at the Huli Jing court "
Donia felt irritation even at the sound of that name " My brother told me , I was thinking she would stay forever in the mortal realm "
"How discouraging , don't you think ?"
"Very discouraging indeed " then her eyes softened" But at least that girl will be happy she's back; after all that's the only person that seems to make her so happy "
