June's Pov
I reclined in my seat, crossing my legs at the knees, looking Orion dead in the eyes.
His jaw flexed, his shoulders tense. He studied the folder in my clutch and tapped his fingers on the table.
"You've always been quite impressionable Juniper. It's why I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this fierce front you're trying to up."
"Cut the crap Orion. I don't want to hear it," I pointed at the drawer underneath his desk.
"Pull out the contract and then, make the call to the judge."
"Whatever you've got in that folder, it must be pretty good by the way you're feeling bodacious enough to challenge me this way."
"Oh, you have no idea," I grinned at him, watching his breath hitch in surprise. His eyes hardened and I could see a vein tick in his neck.
"Could it be related to what Lucian said last night? Did he give that to you?"
He nodded at the folder in my grasp and my hands tightened around it involuntarily.
