Jason wondered why he was doing that and he chose that option… he usually wouldn't have done. Saving strangers and acting like a hero made his skin crawl.
Still, for some reason, he acted out of instinct. It would have been understandable if Scathach warned him that they needed more allies, but she didn't do that.
"I guess staying with those guys is affecting me more a lot more than expected," Jason thought.
Jason couldn't shake the thought of why he hadn't asked more questions about their enemies. This time, his lack of curiosity seemed almost reckless. All he knew was that these foes had the terrifying ability to create other undead creatures, a detail that should have sparked deeper concern. He realized he had been too focused on immediate survival to consider the long-term implications of facing an enemy with such a power.
