Considering the sound of the footsteps, Jason confirmed that the closest guards were moving a bit sluggish to save energy. At the same time, he detected that they weren't tense; they hadn't found him yet.
"All right, it is now or never," Jason thought.
Jason began to move based purely on instincts, allowing his body to respond to the world around him in the most natural and unforced way. His ears tuned into the faintest rustle of leaves, the distant calls of wildlife, and the soft whisper of the wind. Each sound, each movement of the environment, became a part of a symphony to which he was the dancer.
The reason for this was deeply rooted in his desire to become one with his surroundings. He believed that true mastery was in the ability to harmonize with the world, to move without thought, and to react without hesitation. Jason wanted to erase the boundaries between himself and the environment, to feel as if he were an extension of the natural world.
