For Thrud's underlings, the battle was a clear demonstration that raw power alone does not determine victory. Despite Thrud's superior strength and abilities, Jason's mastery of combat techniques and mental toughness allowed him to stand toe-to-toe with her. This encounter taught them that true strength lies not just in power but in the mastery of one's abilities and the strength of one's spirit.
All of a sudden, Jason increased his pace and then used Double Strike, followed by Heavy Swing. It was a basic combination but one that forced Thrud to focus solely on defense when blocking the attacks. Once he was done with it, Thrud launched a flurry of thrust attacks at him… while they were lighter, Jason had a hard time avoiding them and was forced to back down and then use Mana Blade when Thrud followed him.
