Chapter 54 - 054 Blunt and straightforward!

The saying goes, "It's better to believe it's there than to believe it's not." Faced with Qin Liuxi's straightforward and decisive decision, Qi Qian acquiesced.

After all, she had approved of what happened to Yingnan.

Fire Wolf immediately sent people to search for a place to shelter from the wind and rain, but in this mountainous terrain, where could they find one?

"Let's head west," Qin Liuxi said, facing towards the western horizon.

Fire Wolf instinctively looked at his own master. Seeing the latter nod, he led the way with his men. Soon, one of them returned with news that not far from the gorge, there was a small dilapidated temple, probably where hunters rested temporarily.

Qi Qian gave Qin Liuxi a deep look.

Yingnan became even more nervous; this was accurate once again.

The group immediately hurried towards the temple. Upon entering, the sky was still clear, casting some doubt. Would it really rain? Was she just making it up?

Fire Wolf had already sent people to tidy up the temple, clearing a clean space and laying out blankets. He also collected some dry firewood from the nearby forest.

Seeing this, Qin Liuxi said to Qi Qian, "Your guard is excellent, anticipating ten steps ahead, with a sharp mind and unwavering loyalty. He's truly commendable."

Fire Wolf, unexpectedly praised, felt delighted and bowed, saying, "Doctor Qin, you flatter me."

Chenpi proudly added, "My master never misjudges people. If she says you're commendable, then you must be."

Fire Wolf's smile widened as he took out a piece of candy from his sleeve and handed it to Chenpi, saying, "Then I must thank your master for her praise."

Yingnan, standing aside, felt his eyes welling up. She didn't speak of his virtues, only his misfortunes.

As a guard entered, carrying a few dates in his pocket, he said to Qi Qian, "There's a jujube tree behind the temple. It looks quite old and has a few jujubes hanging from it. I've picked some."

Qin Liuxi's eyes brightened as she stood up. She had foreseen an unexpected joy on this journey; could it be here?

"Where is this jujube tree?" she asked.

"It's just behind, there," the guard pointed casually.

Qin Liuxi and Chenpi looked over and saw a large window broken on the northwest side of the temple. Through it, they could see a jujube tree with a trunk as thick as a bowl, probably decades old.

Seeing Qin Liuxi's interest, Qi Qian asked, "Doctor Qin, is there something unusual about this jujube tree?"

"Oh, it's just a jujube tree. What could be unusual about it? Try the jujube; it must be sweet," Qin Liuxi said with a smile.

Qi Qian's expression remained unchanged, but he felt as if she were on guard against him.

"The sky is darkening," a guard named Dayong, guarding the door, exclaimed.

As soon as he spoke, the woods began to rustle with the wind. The sky gradually became obscured by dark clouds, blocking out all light.

In less than a tea's time, a loud thunderclap resounded, followed by raindrops as big as beans falling rapidly and fiercely.

Everyone turned to look at Qin Liuxi, who was enjoying tea and snacks, their eyes filled with awe.

She had predicted it once again.

Yingnan swallowed nervously. It's okay, he didn't bleed; it wasn't entirely accurate.

"Master, let me see how heavy the rain is." He stood up and walked towards the door. After just three steps, he suddenly felt a pain in his forehead and his vision blurred.

With a clang, a piece of tile fell down.

Yingnan touched his forehead; the blood was bright, not much, but it was blood.

With a darkening forehead and the omen of bloodshed, it was a blunt and straightforward judgment!

Everyone: "! "

Wanting the master to calculate a fate, who knew how much silver they'd have to pay?

Under the awe-inspiring gaze of everyone, Qin Liuxi smiled with narrowed eyes, a face hiding deep accomplishments and fame.
