Eldravia, is an ancient vampire kingdom shrouded in shadows. Standing at the door to the grand chamber, Adrian felt a bit scared and curious. He just received a message from his father who invited him to a meeting with the high elders.

Finally, Adrian calmed his nerves and opened the door. As he walled in, all eyes turned toward him. This made him a bit nervous but his face expression betrayed his inner thought. He walked in bold and had a noble aura.

"Lord emperor," He greeted his father. Even though he is his father, they barely even know each other and had little connection. Calling him father felt somehow awkward. His father only talk to Miss Crullar a grand master level witch who is also his adviser.

After greeting his father, Adrian turned to the elders present and gave a bow.

"Lord emperor was sitting on a throne clouded by a dark mist that only his blood red eyes were visible.

"Rise," Lord Emperor said.

"Do you know why I called you here?" Lord emperor asked.

"No my lord," Adrian said his voice full of respect. His father was not a being to be truffled with. When he was little, Adrian had heard many tales about his father great achievement.

"Adrian," the Lord Emperor began, his voice commanding the attention of all present in the chamber. "I have summoned you here today for a purpose of the significant reason."

Adrian felt a honoured that his father remembers his name.

The Lord Emperor continued, his tone commanding. "You, my son, have been chosen as the heir to embark on a perilous journey. A journey that will shape the fate of our kingdom and our people."

Adrian's eyes widened, and he took in the gravity of his father's words.

"Fate of the kingdom? Doesn't that mean father chose me amount his 533 son to be his heir?" Adrian though with countless thoughts rushing down his brain. He felt happiness rush through him. But a question struck him which made his happiness died down.

"What kind of journey? It must be really important that even the whole council of elders are present"

The Lord Emperor's gaze bore into Adrian's. "You are chosen to retrieve the lost Crown of Shadows. It is a relic of immeasurable power, said to hold the key to creation and destruction. It will help unite allt the vampire tribes and granting dominion over all supernatural beings. We would take care of those werewolves with it. For centuries, it has been lost but now, Miss Crullar have found a track on it in the human world," Lord Emperor said.

Adrian's heart quickened with a mix of excitement and trepidation. He knows of it significance and great powers." It a difficult task, is father testing me?" Adrian though.

"Your wish is my command. I will do beyond my best to make sure I complete the task," Adrian said.

"Take," Lord Emperor said as he nodded slightly to Miss Crullar beside him.

She stepped forward, holding a small box which is opened and in it a blood-red ring forged by high-level magic.

Adrian picked it before wearing it on his right index finger. He felt a strong wave of energy entered him.

"Than..." He wanted to say thanks when his jaws almost dropped. The famous Miss Crullar was a devastating beauty with beautiful fair skin, enchanting green eyes and a flawless face. Though she always wears a mask, for some reason today her mask is removed and her beauty was exposed.

Adrian quickly looked away causing Miss Crullar to smile sheepishly. A frown settled up on Lord Emperor face but he didn't think too much about it.

The Lord Emperor explained, "This ring will protect you from the sun's deadly rays, allowing you to venture into the human world. But it holds a greater purpose as well; it will be the means by which you can maintain contact with Eldravia."

"Also take this," Lord Emperor said as a guard came forward bringing a black briefcase.

Adrian took the briefcase with a curious look.

"Just like blood pack here, money is a medium of exchange in the human world," Lord Emperor said.

Adrian opens the bag and found bundles of papers. "Money? Humans are so dumb how can they use inedible thing as their means of exchange?" Adrian though looking at the neatly wrapped papers which he sees as trash. But since it from his father, it must be very useful and important.

"Your identity and new home address are there. When you get to the human world all these will help in completing your task. You can go now," Lord Emperor said.

"Come," Miss Crullar said as she twist her hands and doing several hand gestures as her mouth mutter something which Adrian guess it a spell chant, a white portal appeared in front of him.

"Enter," She commanded her voice a bit stressed. Adrian could guess it was a high level spell due to the complex and long hand gestures but he quickly entered the portal after giving his father a deep bow. Wether to show respect or appreciating for the task was unknown.

Immediately he entered he felt weightless, his body twirl going up, down, left and right.

After what seemed like an eternity, Adrian finally came out of the portal in a different place. Everywhere was bright, it took some time before his eyes adjusted to the light.

"I am now in the human world," Adrian said looking at the unfamiliar place.
