Augustus could see how contented she looked, with her eyes glittering with excitement like she just won the lottery. He felt relieved she looked happy with it.
"That heart." Said Augustus, pointing at the heart of the necklace as he continued in a whisper. "Indicates my heart I'm giving to you to keep. Please, you must not lose it or get it broken."
Hearing him, Anastasia looked up at him with blushed cheeks and a bright eyes. "I won't lose it or break your heart, Austin." She uttered, and it sounded like a promise to both.
"Is that a promise?" Augustus asked, hoping to hear the word yes to leave her lips. He hoped he didn't misheard her.
Anastasia gave him a reassured smile before she replied. "It is a promise."
"Thank you, Anna." Augustus embraced her tightly, feeling the weight of fear in his heart lessen. He now saw hope of waiting patiently for her.
