While Keitaro was busily upgrading his control over his ability, along with further enhancing his ability in general.
Somewhere else in this huge mansion, something very fishy was going on.
Pov change.
Inside Alistair's office, he was seen speaking with someone, a certain perfect individual, the two of them seemed to personally know each other for some unknown reason.
"You are late!" Alistair's voice was heard proclaiming as the entity just smiled.
The man smiled, his eyes cold and calculating. "I have been busy," he replied, his voice smooth and hypnotic. "But I have come to remind you of our agreement."
It was fun speaking to this man, but he was here for business, someone had dared play with one of his toys and that kind of made him just a bit mad.
Alistair's face darkened. "I know what the agreement is," he said, his voice low and dangerous.
"It's good to see that even a generation later...your family still honors our pact," The man said with a smile.
Alistair however did not really seem to like the creature smiling face.
The creature smiled a bit before suddenly, grabbing Alistair by the collar.
A scene straight out of a horror movie happened the second after the creature grabbed Alistair's collar.
A disgusting bug was seen crawling inside of Alistair's body, the creature walked its way down Alistair's throat before making its way through his stomach, upon reaching Alistair's stomach, the creature bit a small chunk of Alistair's stomach in order to make its way to Alistair's heart.
The creature made its way to Alistair's heart and without a moment of hesitation, the creature placed his claw around the man's beating heart.
"If the deal is not honored....then in 10 days, your heart will stop," The creature said with a smile on his face.
With no care in the world, as if it did not just threaten one of the most influential people in Europe.
The being walked away, giving Alistair one last smile before turning into a thousand bugs.
As they were leaving, Alistair was left alone in his office, his breathing ragged and his heart pounding in his chest.
The creature's threat echoed in his mind, reminding him of the pact that his family had made with the creature centuries ago.
The pack that would have given his family all the money and power that they possessed today, in exchange for something that they viewed as small, miniscule even.
He did not regret the pack one bit, after all, without it, he wouldn't be where he was right now, and his family wouldn't be a multi-billionaire family who could spend as much as they wanted whenever they wanted.
Being the family that fully controlled the UK government behind the scenes, a family that was rich and yet unknown to the family.
A family that stood above the law, a family that did not have to pay taxes on anything, that was what his family had become.
Anger and fear warred within him. He knew this creature was dangerous but he did not think that the creature would be that dangerous.
He had underestimated the creature, believing himself to be in control.
After all, he was a strong clan head, he was by far the strongest in his bloodline, and he would be able to beat his father and his grandfather quite easily, especially with the technique he was gifted from birth.
His godly power which allowed him to accomplish so much in his life was no match for the being might.
Thinking about it, he had tried to use his power against that Keitaro person too on their first meeting, however his attempt utterly failed, he was the one who seemed to have gotten overpowered.
Something that had never happened to him in his 48 years of life.
A flicker of determination ignited with him. He would not become a victim, he was so much more than that.
He would find a way to break free from the creature's grasp.
He had to find a method to get himself out of this guaranteed death.
As he looked around, his eyes fell upon a framed photograph on his desk. It was a picture of his son, Edgar.
Looking at the picture of his own flesh and blood an idea suddenly pops up in his mind, a very devious idea one might say.
His morale was long since gone for him to even care that what he was going to do was not morally correct
Upon looking at the picture of his son one last time, Alistair decided to throw away any idea of being the morally right person.
What was 12 more years, he could always start again, and have another son.
Edgar's life met nothing against his own, he had so much power that he did not want to let go of, and he had a legacy to uphold.
Those things unlike his son, were irreplaceable.
He could not make them again.
In his son's case, all he had to do was knock up his wife, his family influence on the other hand.
Lasting multiple generations, and this was not something he would sacrifice.
