Keitaro had a very curious expression on his face as he watched the battle go on, his eyes momentarily went toward the butler.
The man seems almost amazed by Edgar's power, it was as if the butler was saying not even Alistair was at this level at this age.
That was what a few months of training did, he wondered if he could become a better teacher if he could find a way to use seals as training methods for his students.
That was a question for his future self, the pills would certainly be pretty useful in this situation.
Edgar, who had sensed an opening launched another barrage of metal constructs at George. This time, however, he imbues them with a subtle vibration. Keitaro watched George's concentration seem to have been interrupted by those vibrations.
'he has to be running low on curse energy' Keitaro thought to himself as he noticed the amount of stuff that Edgar had constructed with his curse technique.
He watched as Edgar created a pair of gloves around his fist, he watched as the boy cocked his fist back and threw a powerful punch at the creature.
As the blow was mear inches from reaching George's body, the curse was able to guard itself by unleashing a torrent of dark energy.
Edgar was able to erect a barrier of liquid metal in order to absorb the impact.
Keitaro then watched as different parts of the shield seemed to grow Edgar swung the Shield around for a bit before launching it back at George.
All the power that George had launched toward Edgar was not being thrown back at him at full force.
Keitaro's eyes widened in surprise. Edgar had not only defended himself but had turned the tide of the battle.
He felt a bit proud, that Edgar was learning, he also noticed that Edgar only used a certain liquid metal for defense and a certain amount for offense.
A binding vow perhaps, or were those 2 metals different in nature?
Keitaro's mind started to work some stuff out, so for defensive applications, the liquid metal would need some characteristics like.
High heat capacity: Absorbing energy from impacts.Flexibility and shape-shifting: Adapting to different attack forms.Conductivity: Disrupting electronic systems.
A potential candidate could be a gallium-based alloy. Gallium has a low melting point and high conductivity. It could potentially be used in:
Liquid armor: flexible, shape-shifting material that could disperse the force of an impact.
Conductive barriers: To disrupt electronic devices or weapons.
Some options For offensive applications could have properties like:
High density: For kinetic energy impact.
Corrosiveness: To damage equipment or structures.
Adhesiveness: To incapacitate targets.
A hypothetical example could be a mercury-based alloy (though mercury is highly toxic), that however could be useful as injecting the mercury into his opponent's wound could be a great fight ender.
Some added benefits could be.
High-velocity projectiles: Due to its high density.
Incendiary weapons: If combined with reactive elements.
All in all, creation was pretty busted, its only real downside is the fact that you will be drained of curse energy pretty quickly, and the slight part that you need to understand what you are constructing before doing it.
The reason why the study of its molecular structure is usually needed is to be familiarized with it.
However if construction did have a curse technique reversal, the name could be decomposition.... let's see some stuff it could do could be like, anything the user decomposes, they get knowledge on how to construct it.
Would that work on Gojo infinity thought....so a construction sorcerer could have the infinity, that seems busted.
However, that will never happen as unless they had infinite curse energy the curse energy cost would kill them.
Keitaro's eyes once again went toward the battle that was happening, he was starting to notice a pattern, a cycle, and like any cycle, it had a weak point.
The key that Keitaro had realized, lay in interrupting the cycle. If he could disrupt the build-up phase, or prematurely detonate the energy, he could throw George off balance.
That was good info to know.
Keitaro focused his mind, he started channeling his curse energy. He began to experiment with different techniques, trying to find a counter to George's style. He needed something that could both disrupt and control the curse energy.
After several seconds of intense concentration, Keitaro's eyes open. He had found it.
Now the question was, would Edgar figure it out?
Edgar felt his curse energy reserve reaching an all-time low, he was about to be out of curse energy at this rate.
He would give it 3 more moves tops.
He was exhausted and cornered, he could retreat. He could press the button and all of this would end.
His sensei would come in and save the day and he would not have to do anything.
As those thoughts flowed into his mind, he scoffed at himself.
No, he would not be relying on anyone anymore, his hands gripped his sword so hard that blood spurted out of his hand.
However he did not care, he would win, no matter what.
With a surge of adrenaline, Edgar channeled every ounce of his strength into a single, devastating blow.
Using all the liquid metal he had left, he unleashed a torrent of liquid metal, shaping them into a colossal, whirling vortex.
The vortex lacked any solid form but this was not what Edgar was going for, to begin with, pumping every last ounce of curse energy his body possessed.
He swung his blade as all the curse energy that had been imbued into the blade up until this point was launched toward the creature alongside the vortex.
*Kaboom*
A/N...construction is pretty op, also Edgar possesses grade 1 level curse energy, and his control due to being a Keitaro student is also around the same level as a semi-grade one sorcerer.
That doesn't mean he is a grade one in terms of strength, he would lose a fight against every single grade one, and he will lose a fight even in grade two, he is like a semi grade 2, so stronger than a grade 3 but not a grade 2 yet.
So he is a Megumi victim, Panda might even beat his ass due to matchups.
