Welp the deal was made and now it was time for Keitaro to look at his chosen champion for this fight.
The powerful genius...who was currently hiding behind him trembling like a little kid who had seen a monster.
It was a natural reaction, after all, the beast infront of them was indeed a monster, a powerful one at that.
However, it still seems to possess some semblance of humanity left within it.
Keitaro placed a reassuring hand on Edgar's shoulders.
"Edgar," he began, his voice being its gentle self, though this time he did make sure to make his voice sound a bit more firm, "I know this is terrifying. But remember, you are stronger than you think. You've trained hard, and you have the skills to hold your own."
That wasn't a lie, the kid had improved greatly, it may not look like it since the kid was sparring against his clone, but a clone of him is still a clone of him at the end of the day, he was by far the most versatile sorcerer of the modern age.
If someone was around his level in curse energy and also power then Keitaro had something over that person, he was an expert at barrier techniques and seals.
There was no sorcerer he could think of who could match all of those skills respectively....the image of one white hair idiot appeared in his mind.
Keitaro sighed a bit annoyed maybe there was one guy but in terms of prowess with barriers and seals, he was second only to Tengen...
Speaking of Tengen he wonder if he could learn barrier technique from her, that would be pretty neat.
His eyes then went toward the nervous kid infront of him, he had time to think of all of that and go back to the kid before Edgar could even blink.
Having his thought process being sped up because of curse energy was a pretty huge pro and if he were to use the electricity from his Vajra glove.
Time seemed to stop around Keitaro, everything was in super slow motion.
Keitaro's thoughts were able to run rampant.....0.000001, basically a microsecond.
Keitaro paused his little experiment, if he could manage to implement this while he was in a fight it would be useful.
However, the control it would require for him to pull such a feat would be very high, like having six eyes high.
Even Gojo would have a hard time, as trying to send curse energy to the brain in such a delicate way was kind of dangerous as if you mess up once, brain damage?
He could do it in short bursts, however, though thinking that fast wouldn't help him move that.
If he couldn't physically react to it then he would be cooked even if he saw the attack coming.
Keitaro paused, allowing the boy to take in his words. "This isn't just about defeating a powerful curse. It's about proving something to yourself. It's about proving that you're not defined by your family name."
Keitaro's gaze softened as he looked into Edgar's eyes. "Trust your instincts, Edgar. You know what to do. And remember, I'll be right here, watching your back."
He wasn't wrong he would be watching the boy fight George, it should be a fun watch,
With a determined nod, Keitaro stepped back, giving Edgar the space he needed. He raised a hand in a gesture of encouragement. "You've got this, Edgar."
As Edgar took a deep breath, preparing himself for the impending battle, Keitaro focused his attention on George, the vengeful curse spirit. A silent promise passed between them.
Keitaro watched as the scene unfolded, both Edgar and George were seen facing off against each other.
Though Keitaro did weaken Edgar's curse energy amount to the point that he couldn't one-shot kill Edgar.
However that was the only restriction put on George, He was still a monster in terms of physical prowess.
This was proven when George moved with surprising agility. Edgar, though smaller, held his ground, his stance low and ready just like Keitaro had taught him.
George lunged toward the boy, his massive fist aimed squarely at the boy's chest. Edgar reacted instinctively, he used his curse technique in order to create a liquid metal wall to deflect the blow.
Keitaro watched as the liquid metal absorbed all the impact from the blow, that was progress and progress was good.
Needing to counterattack, Edgar used the rest of his liquid metal in order to create a barrage of metal constructs. Needles, Spikes, and blades rained down on George like there was no tomorrow.
George however managed to move his body with a lot of speed and flexibility.
George retaliated with a wave of dark energy, it looked to be a viscous, inky substance that seemed to seep into everything that came into contact with it.
The metal constructs that Edgar had made began to corrode, their once sharp edges becoming dull as they came into contact with the substance.
Upon realizing that Edgar retreated and managed to place a shield around him just in time to block another one of those attacks.
George started pounding away at Edgar's defense, meanwhile, the young boy was seen working frantically working, he was shaping the liquid metal he had left into new forms.
He needed something stronger, something that could withstand the corrosive energy that the curse had.
As he concentrated, his liquid metal took on a new shape, a colossal hammer that was forged from pure, unadulterated metal?...
Keitaro's eyes look at the floor, he notices that a chunk of the floor seems to be missing, so that is what Edgar did.
George managed to smash into the sphere, managing to destroy it into a million pieces.
However, as he looked inside the sphere, he did not notice the boy anywhere in sight, Edgar appeared behind the curse and with his oversized hammer slammed it hard into the creature's body.
