Lilithra's eyes fluttered open, only to be met with a blinding light that forced her to shut them tight once more. Gradually, she dared to peek again, blinking rapidly until the room came into focus. The ceiling above her was an unfamiliar shade of white, unlike the one in her hotel room. Strange beeping noises filled the air, accompanied by a cacophony of voices, cries, and infant wails. Lost and disoriented, she couldn't help but wonder, "Where on earth am I?"
Lilith was lying still on the bed, her forehead creased with worry as she gazed up at the ceiling, attempting to comprehend the commotion surrounding her until a voice jolted her back to reality. She turned her head to the side and saw a woman in blue scrubs holding a clipboard, inspecting an IV bag hanging from a pole next to her bed, linked to her hand.
The nurse noticed Lilith was conscious and offered a gentle smile. "Good to see you awake," she said in a soothing tone.
