Lilith spun around abruptly at the sound of the voice, but there was no one there, leaving her puzzled. "Over here, child," the gravelly voice called out once more, and when Lilith looked down, she was stunned to see an old woman standing before her. The woman was hunched over, clad in a black cloak, and as she gazed at Lilith with a smile, it sent chills down her spine. Lilith was not one to easily be frightened, but something about this elderly lady unnerved her.
"Can I trouble you for something to eat, my child? I'm hungry," the woman asked, shivering as a strong gust of wind swept through the area, carrying a foul odor that made Lilith cough and step back. She had encountered the stench before, but now she realized it was emanating from the woman herself.
