Chapter 15 - Fighting the Miniboss

Level Up.

Level Up.

Level Up.

It took a few minutes to take down the other two elites. After seeing Bor's performance, the team was a lot more confident, and with the monsters dying, they all got a good amount of Exp. Even Lonely Snow hit the triple digits, becoming a level 100.

"So, about that spear," Lonely Snow said, beaming with confidence. She had seen Bor's fight, and she knew the spear was OP (over-powered).

Bor smiled and made the exchange. He had a few more in his inventory, and these spears were made to be sold.

"Wonderful!" Her eyes were sparkling. She was so excited she couldn't wait to raid another group. After taking down the first group, it became easy to take on another group, and another. Soon, they found that they were almost done collecting the quest materials, but there were still a few more to be collected.

Good thing was, there were also quite a number of forging materials dropped, and another blueprint. This time, it was for some construct Bor did not understand. However, every blueprint was precious, even if one didn't build it, someone would still sell it for quite a good chunk of change.

Going deeper, they found an abandoned shelter/cave. It was well lit, but it did not seem to have anyone or anything going on in it. One thing though, it had this foreboding feeling to it, like it held imminent danger within.

The Lead Tank, Firelord Izzu's Illegitimate son, led the way in. Just as he was about to cross the cave wall, a loud roar came from within.

"Who dares enter the Lord's sacred mine!" A deep and guttural sound came from within. Next, they heard footsteps, numerous footsteps coming from within.

Looking at each other, they didn't know what to expect, but they didn't have to wait for long.

Boom!

A group of three Elites came shooting out of the cave, charging at the Lead Tank. He didn't even have a moment to think before he was sent flying.

[-45,000 Hp]

That was a serious hit, but as if that was just the start, another three Elite Fighters came out, heading to the nearest player, who just happened to be the other Tank, I am Fortress, the paladin.

Fortress could barely react before the monsters rammed him, sending him spiraling. A loud roar came from the cave, indicating the boss was near. In just a moment, there were seven enemies on the battlefield, and the group was not even well prepared for.

Seeing the dire situation, Bor pulled out his bow and began shooting arrows. As a hunter, one had to know when to control the crowd and when to go up close and personal with a monster. This time, Bor needed to engage all the monsters.

Swish!

Swish!

Swish!

Instantly, he shot three different arrows. The first being [Flashpoint Arrows]. Their purpose was to blind and destabilize his enemies. This slowed down the first group which had attacked Firelord's son by a margin, giving the group much needed time.

The other arrow was fired at the lead Elite that had rammed into Fortress. It was a [Binding Arrow], which held down the elite causing their organized formation to stumble.

The third was the one with the most damage. He aimed at the fiend, that scary beast letting out those heart-quaking roars. [Thunder shot arrow] could attract lighting from the heavens, causing a bleeding effect with a -15% HP DOT (Damage Over Time).

[-75,000 Hp]

Seeing such horrifying damages over the Boss, Bor let out a soft curse. He had just pulled the aggro of all the beasts. He could see their eyes burning, staring at him. This was it, there were just as much players as there were enemies. What's worse, the enemies were all looking at him.

As if given a signal, all the Elite Dwarves lunged at Bor with reckless abandon. Their eyes were blood red and they looked as though they were out for blood. They couldn't believe this puny human had dared attack them.

Bor did not have time to panic, he didn't even have time to think. Leaping off his feet, Bor stored the Bow and pulled out his biggest trump card, his own custom build [Basilisk's Crossbow].

[Basilisk crossbow]

Level 120 (Can evolve further)

Skills

[Scatter Shot] Fires a volley of bolts at any enemy within a duration of 5 seconds causing 10% Damage. Can cause knockback effect depending on level of opponent.

Cooldown 30 Seconds.

[Limitless Ammo] Continues firing bolts even after all the arrows in the magazine have been fired.

Cooldown 1 minute.

[Insta Shot] When activated, a shot causing 20% Flat Damage is fired to the closest enemy without having to aim.

Cooldown 20 Seconds.

[Illusory shot] Fires bolts which are invisible to the enemy.

Cooldown 20 seconds.

Designed for the cornered Hunter.

To Bor, this crossbow was a life saver. Moreover, this was the first time using it since he upgraded it to level 120.

The next moment, Bor activated [Scatter Shot], firing multiple bolts at all the incoming enemies. Since the Elites were Level 150, barely 30 levels above the crossbow, they didn't cause much damage, but they did have the knockback effect, which brought their stampede to a standstill.

Having bought himself critical seconds, Bor activated [Insta Shot], instantly shaving off 20% of the closest Elite. As if on cue, Lonely Snow struck with the Spear, and Fortress came up from his previous hit and attacked the same Elite.

In an instance, the battle went full scale. Everyone was in the fight, with the Boss looking on. It still hadn't attacked yet, but every roar seemed to boost the minions under it, adding to their fury and flurry of attacks.

[-87,000 Hp]

Suddenly, Ayram's Hp dropped to less than 15% of her total. A player did not have that much HP to begin with, and given she was a healer, she didn't have any defense.

"Shit, someone hold the Aggro on the boss, it is attacking the healers!"
